Summary: Top rate espionage thriller
Review:

CIA agent Gerry Davis asks for anti-terrorist expert Casey Collins to join his Norway based team. Gerry has worked with Casey before and knows she can add deep analysis to their investigation of missing Stinger missiles that Afghani rebels sold to the highest bidder. However, her stay in Copenhagen abruptly ends when a commercial plane apparently exploded over Bangor, Maine. Casey is a member of a special task force that looks for the less obvious reasons that might have caused a plane crash.

At the airport, the Danish police stop Casey from leaving the country because a murdered corpse of a biker has been found in her living quarters. Apparently, a member of the notorious Bandidos was killed while trying to see Casey. The police and FBI agent believe Casey knows what the deceased wanted to tell her. However, Casey's best friend, State Department representative Bella Hinton needs Casey to remain quiet for a few days. Casey would have refused for any reason except for the health of Bella's teenage son. Trapped between loyalty and three investigations on different sides of the Atlantic, Casey's troubles escalate when Gerry is murdered while making inquiries among the biker community. She is now everyone's target.

NIGHT ON FIRE is an excellent international espionage thriller that brings to life the anti-terrorism efforts of America and Europe. The story line is non-stop as treason and double cross is the name of the game. However, what makes Diana Deverell's novel worth reading is the author allows her characters to fully develop so that readers feel concern for them. Any person who enjoys an entertaining espionage thriller will want to read Ms. Deverell's superb novel.

Summary: Yuck.
Review: No better than its predecessor. Deverell spent a couple of years as a cub officer in the State Department, but that sure doesn't help her thrillers. This is just weak. Cardboard characters, insipid plot. Take a pass.

Summary: really great page turner
Review: This book is fast paced, well plotted, and overall a great read. I had a tough time putting it down, and that's saying a lot.
