Rating: Summary: Up for a challenge? Review: Fast talk and long walks off short docks makes Eddie Foote (see also "arrogant scumbag") head of the numbers racket in Freedom City, Texas. His game blows up in his face when the killer he's been tracking with a betting pool picks HIM as the next victim. This is a fast-paced and rather complicated story of crime and cops and friendship and Freudian issues in the big city, with just a dash of costumed adventure. Sharp dialogue sews the twisted plot up nicely and rule-breaking, well-rendered illustration bursts off every page. If you like "Law & Order" and/or "Batman: Year One" you will like this one. A complicated read, but worth the effort. There is also a sequel, called The Fairer Sex: A Tale of Shades & Angels...check it out!
