Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Read
Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. Good fast pace and satisfying for any mystery/thriller reader.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Read
Review: This Mystery/Thriller is an intricately woven tale of murder and revenge, which keeps you guessing until the very end. From the very first page you are engrossed in the plot and it's intriguing characters, who draw you into their lives. The novel begins on the shores of Lake Michigan where a series of seemingly unconnected brutal murders begin with the deaths of a police officer and several mob members caught in the crossfire of warring Mafia factions over a prize of two million dollars. What started in Wisconsin continues across the country and into Europe. The author's vivid imagery makes the scenes seem alive. You see the waves crashing against the rocks at Smuggler's Cove and feel the ambience of the locations visited. The plot snakes and twists as you try to discover the identity of the psychopath perpetrating the murders and his motives. I started reading this book and couldn't put it down until the very last page. I liked the book so well, that I did some hunting on the web to see if I could find another novel by this author. It appears that this is his first book. I can't wait for another book to be published by Mr. Bartholomaus, and will probably be one of the first in line to buy it.
