Review: This is an exciting book full of twists and turns, and has the feeling of an offering my Ian Fleming! A UN staffer, Ferguson, is tricked by him superior into thinking he's being sent on a routine mission to Africa. But in fact he's being sent to find out details about a rebellion against an African dictator. He gets romantically involved with a Dutch woman who is a very interesting character in the local UN office, gets captured by the rebels, is sure he's going to die. This is very well-written book that is a great read; the twists and turns are not only in the action, but in the psychology of those we follow through this engaging tale. I highly recommend this book. I'm eager to see something else by this fine writer.
