Taut and thrilling, this book gives a savagely real portrait of the cruel and unforgiving mental hospitals of the fifties and sixties. Other works from the same author prove the man knew well of what he wrote. A must read for those of us who always knew "...Cuckoo's Nest" was the sugar coated version. The real thing was so much worse.
