Review: This author again displays his vast knowledge of China, it's history and customs and puts them together in a most appealing and exciting story. I lived in Shanghai during this time period and was able to visit again a couple of years ago. This book brought back the "old China" for me as I compared it to China today. What a great story teller. As always this book left me wanting more. I look forward to another book soon.
