Meckel's crisp, unforgiving prose makes you feel wet from all the pounding rain and flooding waters, and her atmospheric settings made even this Florida native shiver from the cold during those long, balmy nights. I look forward to more from author Wendy Lea Meckel's realistic fiction in the future . . .

Review: I couldn't put this book down. The author does a great job of weaving the story together from the perspectives of the main characters. This book is of special interest to folks who live in Minnesota or North Dakota. I think the author should write a screen play.

Review: THIS IS A GREAT BOOK, I READ THE BOOK IN THREE DAYS. IT IS A SUSPENSEFUL, HEARTWRENCHING BOOK THAT MAKES YOU JUST WANT TO KEEP READING TO SEE WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN NEXT. IT TRULY IS ONE OF THE BEST FICTIONAL BOOKS I HAVE READ, EVERY THING SEEMS TO BE SO REAL. THE AUTHOR IS A GREAT WRITER AND I HOPE SHE COMES OUT WITH MORE BOOKS.
