A family with its fortunes gained in underworld crime, a controlling mother-in-law, and intense devotion to her son drive heroine Angela Micelli to a series of choices that are not really choices at all, but necessary steps on the journey to control her life and regain her son. The plot twists and turns its way from New York City to Mexico's drug producing jungles and back again.
