Summary: a nice pastiche
Review: As far as Sherlock Holmes pastiches go, I quite enjoyed this one. Yes, it is long - it is definitely not a short story - but it easily held my interest even at 2am.

Summary: Couldn't get Through This Pastiche
Review: I have been spending a lot of time lately reading all the pastiche Sherlock Holmes. After finding Greenwood's Thistle of Scotland quite engaging, I got this book. I trudged through half the book before I finally put it down in disgust. Normally I can find enough interest in any book to at least finish it. But not with this one; I didn't care about the long-drawn-out story, the characterization of Watson and Holmes did not meet expectations. Avoid it.
