Summary: An all night page turner
Review: First you want to sell your house and move to Key West and its ambiance, next door to a retired museum director, his wife and their long time buddy, a Key West detective--Rene and Biba and Dex--who are experts at cooking and eating and living Key West style. Second, while still chewing Rene's grilled cuisine and finishing your third Margarita at poolside, you are swept up in an international murder, shards of what may be the Holy Grail (thus the book's title), two violent religious groups fighting to the death and a rocket of tumultuous action that caroms from Florida to the archeological digs of Tunis (and maybe the tomb of Hannibal), thence to the back alleys of Paris, and before you can catch your breath on to southern France, then on to the ultimate show-down shoot-out in an ancient monastery high up in the Pyrenees and ultimately to the solution to the whole fascinating puzzle and so back to poolside, Rene's grill and another Margarita. With a second Rene and Dex mystery in the offing, you can sum it all up with that famous Casablanca exit line: Louis, this can be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
