Rating: Summary: Hemmingson is odd and quirky as always Review: At least I know never what to expect when reeading a Hemmingson book...which is good. Will it be sex? Violence? A love story? A mystery? In this book, he mixes it all up, moving at light speed, like one of those old Fawcett Gold Medal books. Set in the 50s, Hemmingson emulates the 50s. Spies, twists in the plot, non-stop action. Sometimes it's overwhelming. Somnetimes you don't know what's going on, like a Raymond Chanlder novel...which is also good, I guess.
Rating: Summary: Hemmingson does not disappoint Review: Plant yourself in a comfortable chair & read this book. It goes quick, so hang on. It just moves & moves with simple dialogue & descriptions & plots twists (& twists & twists & twists). There's some sex, & there's some violence, but compared to some of his other work ("The Comfort of Women", SNUFF FLIQUE) its pretty tame. This one keeps you interested till the end. & what an end. Hemmingson does not disappoint. If you're familiar with him, get this book. If you're not, get this book -- it's a fine introduction to one helluva writer.

Rating: Summary: Odd, but good Review: This is a quirky one, and that's saying a lot, since Hemmingson's always quirky. It's out there, almost like it's set in an alternate universe in 1953. It's a fun read. If you like Hemmingson, you'll like this.
