Review: From page three onwards, my heart was in my mouth. Wendy DeVere Austin has written a clever, racy, frightening mystery which had me turning pages feverishly. Her characters are finely drawn, the suspense is almost unbearable and the final chapter comes as a complete surprise. Some smart movie mogul should grab this book and put it on the screen. I am so glad to know that there is another book on its way. Bravo!

Summary: A GREAT FIRST from Wendy deVere Austin
Review: Hot of the press. A good story-line, interesting characters, a generous dash of spice, and tense frightening mystery. My husband and I are long time mystery buffs and I both like this first book of Austin's very much. As an editor, I particularly admire the lack of padding. I have read countless bestsellers that ramble due to poor editing. But the writing in Still "Waters Run Deep is tight", and it adds punch. This is not a book you find yourself skimming through, it keeps you on track until the last page. Bravo!

The plot moved at a great pace and just when I thought I knew "who done it," there were more surprises in store for me. For those who love suspense fiction, this book will leave you very satified. Wendy DeVere Austin's book is also written under the title "Leave the Killing to Me." I was so gripped by this book that it left me with a nervous butterfly feeling hours after I finished, wishing there was more to read! To be continued...I hope!
