Summary: This is one great book
Review: I have to admit, I was a little shocked at how much I liked this book. I didn't just like it, I loved it! The writing is as lyrical as a Barbara Kingsolver novel, the plot is as exciting as a Michael Crichton, and the metaphysical/spiritual message is something I don't think I'll ever forget.

The main character, Jason, travels back to his past lives via a sensory deprivation tank which displaces his consciousness at a different point along an infinite range of vibrational frequencies (by the way, you won't ever look at "time" the same way!) to teach his wife's past life personalities compassion so that she does not kill the man trying to manipulate her karma. Each of these past lives become a story within the story: 13,000 years ago during prehistoric times; the Hupa Indians of North America; 7th century Britain during the Viking invasions; early America during the polio epidemic; and 300 bc in Ancient Alexandria. The historical sections are incredibly realistic, very exciting, and each one of them had plot twists and a climax that complimented the plot twists and climax of the main story, which is set in present day.

Ever since I read Self-Inflicted, I can't stop wondering what it is I am creating for myself with the thoughts I am holding. And how will those thought effect this life and my next life?

Buy this book. Believe me, you will not regret it!

Summary: A skillfully constructed and compulsively readable novel
Review: I was hooked the minute I read the copy on the back of the book, "A theoretical physicist has gone insane. Using the Regression System, he is manipulating Sloan Fischer's past lives in order to murder her." I read the book in one sitting, and thought finally! A book with a sophisticated metaphysical world view that is also written superbly and plotted so deftly it is impossible to put down. Tell your friends, because Jeffrey Thornton should be read!

Summary: A great story full of valuable lessons...
Review: I was very surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. (I've read it twice already)

This is a story of a man, Jason, trying to protect his soul mate, Sloan, from being killed in her past lives by a psychopath. The details and lessons the author puts in the story during Jason's many past life regressions are deep and valuable.

With each of his five regressions, Jason begins to understand and embody what the true meaning of life is all about. He learns love and compassion are the ultimate answer. A love of life, a love of self and a compassion toward everyone.

He begins to understand that people themselves create their own misery or personal hell. Your thoughts are what define you and your life.

Anyone who is open minded, looking for truth and has enjoyed reading books like, "Conversations With God", "Many Lives, Many Masters", "Excuse Me, Your Life is Waiting" will love Self Inflicted.

Give Self Inflicted a chance. You'll have a good time, learn a lot and feel good about yourself.

Enjoy.
