Summary: As real as the headlines . . . Heart-stopping ending!
Review: A forceful, engaging and provocative story with a shocking ending.

The aptly named ODD MAN OUT is the story of three brothers whose lives are changed forever by the Viet Nam War. When one brother is killed in action, the two remaining brothers return to the US. One is proud of his service to his country; the other feels like a traitor because of his newfound personal philosophy.

Over the years, both rise to positions of influence-one in national politics, the other as Marine Corps general. Their political leanings couldn't be further apart, yet both become key players when their nation's president finds himself in an international scandal of his own making. When a hired assassin named "Cain" enters the picture to permanently remove the president from power, both brothers are faced with risky, dangerous decisions that might ruin their lives-and the future of a country they both love.

I especially recommend ODD MAN OUT to readers who enjoy political thrillers, and look forward to the author's next book.

Summary: This one is hard not to like!
Review: Odd Man Out is an excellent blend of suspense and political intrigue. Robert Sutter takes this successful mix and adds historically accurate and realistic military jargon and situations. Sutter deftly incorporates "fast forwarding/rewinding" time techniques that reels in and interests the reader, but never loses him. One of the few recent books that I've read that was hard to put down. Don't be surprised to see an adaptation of this on the big screen in the future.

Summary: Best read in a long time
Review: The story is summarized well by a previous reviewer. This book blew me away. Anyone who has ever served their country will feel a kindred spirit with the characters in this book. And if you just enjoy a good political-thriller carried out by characters of genuine depth, then you'll be blown away, too.

Two thumbs way, way up.
