Rating: Summary: Exciting and fast moving tale of intrigue Review: Jean Duhon has spun an exciting tale of intrigue from the early days of World War II as German spies sneak into Mobile Bay on a submarine. Their desperate mission is to destroy vital defense industries at any cost. Intent on stopping them, however, is Vanessa Kellerman, who takes over her father's position in a shipping company following the death of her parents when a Nazi U-Boat sinks the passenger ship returning them to the United States. Vanessa is joined by Jack Conway, an FBI agent in disguise, and by a cast of colorful characters all interwoven in the unfolding plot. The action builds to a climax during New Year's celebrations of 1942 as Vanessa and Jack work frantically to stop the silent invasion. Duhon's writing flows with description and vivid dialogue. This is a fine story, well told.
