Summary: Intriguing
Review: PREY FOR REIGN *****
If one just hears the title, it sounds like praying to end a drought (Pray for Rain instead of Prey For Reign). Actually, it's regarding a subsequent takeover in addition to jockeying for the spot of top dog in a corporation.
Camille, who works for Biosync, is troubled. Her husband, Roger, dies in an auto accident one dark night, and she is told it was the result of DWI. She is left with all sorts of doubts regarding his death and the ensuing events.
Eventually, she becomes embroiled in the controversy surrounding Thioprine, a drug used for schizophrenics. Then, when a 29-year-old female participating in the clinical trial dies of an apparent heart attack, she investigates the mysterious death, only to put herself in harm's way.
All around her is death, despair, and disappearances. What, or perhaps who is the operative word, is behind these tragic happenings? Does she find out before it's too late? Or does she become just another victim?
Take time to read it. You'll be glad that you did.
