Summary: Satisfying pulp fiction
Review: Arneberg's fourth book, Not Seeing the Stars, is a step back in time for the hero, Jack Falon, but that doesn't make it any less packed with action and violence. One gets the sense that this book is autobiographical, but it's difficult to imagine anyone having this much adventure packed into one life. Arneberg continues to refine his writing, making it more spare and efficient. Not Seeing the Stars is tailor made for the pulp fiction fan, a genuine throwback to the genre. A very entertaining read.
