Summary: Good Book for Genealogy Buffs
Review: "Nettie" tells the story of a woman named Mary, who's researching her family history. She uncovers a mystery about her grandmother -- there's no record of exactly how the lady died, or where she's buried. In fact, her body disappeared soon after her death. Yet, suddenly the grandmother's name (Nettie) appears mysteriously on the blackboard Mary has in her basement study.

Now the real adventure begins, as Mary and a friend travel from their home in Chicago to Civil War sites, doing historical research, but also uncovering Nettie's tragic story. Their scheduled itinerary is sometimes interrupted by strange and beckoning messages from the other world, little pieces of the puzzle Nettie sends to help them unravel the past. At some points, Mary finds herself in real danger.... but exactly why is the real mystery.

Don't want to give away too much of the plot here, but it's a great read! The author also hints that it's based on a true story. As a genealogy nut myself, I've often wished my forebears would contact me this way! Readers interested in the Civil War may also enjoy this book.

Really fun, and I highly recommend it!

Summary: NETTIE- THE BOOK
Review: WHAT AN AWESOME READ! NETTIE CATCHES YOU FROM THE BEGINNING AND WON'T LET YOU PUT IT DOWN TILL YOU FIND HER SECRET FROM BEYOND THE GRAVE. NETTIE IS AN AMAZING MIX OF PAST AND PRESENT HISTORY AND THE AUTHOR BRINGS IT TOGETHER IN A MOST UNIQUE STYLE AND FORMAT. DON'T MISS OUT ON THIS FANTASTIC JOURNEY OF HOW ONE WOMAN'S SEARCH FOR THE TRUTH REVEALS AN IMPORTANT AND HISTORICAL LINK TO HER ANCESTRY AND WHILE AT THE SAME TIME UNVEILS STUNNING REVELATIONS OF POLITICAL COVER-UPS FROM THE CIVIL FROM THE TIME OF OUR NATION'S OWN BATTLE.
