Summary: A insult to a good series.
Review: I enjoyed that games series. I find it rather annoying that now, someone has released a book by the same name, that covers the Vietnam war. Isn't this the war that Bob Dylan was talking about when he wrote It's All Over Now Baby Blue? Isn't this the war that officially ended American innocence?

The games where about heroics, being as good a human being as possible, this book is just about death. While I will admit that the name of the book seems to be sarcastic, it is sad to see such a great title dragged through blood drenched mud and slaughter.

Also, shouldn't someone be paying Vivendi for using the name? I mean they do hold the rights to the name...

Review: The title of this book has been Copyrighted since 1989 by Sierra On-line, and frankly I am extremely offended that it would be used in such a way. The Quest for Glory series of adventure games were a treatise on honor and morality and heroics. There is nothing the least bit heroic about pointless slaughter. There is no such thing as a "neccessary war." The Vietnam war was one of the more pointless and immoral ventures ever plotted by the US government, and that is saying one heck of a lot. They might as well have dropped napalm all over NYC and call it a "Heroic" act in fighting urban crime. It's entirely the same thing, just harder to hide the truth about. Quest for Glory 3 was all about the horrors of war and the completely irrational zeal and hard-headedness of leaders.
