Summary: Like Skiing? You'll like this book.
Review: I know the author through the Mystery Writer's of America and I read this book and loved it because I am a skiier and that helps highlight the enjoyment of "The Chartreuse Clue". A great read.R.L. Van Ausdall

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: No imagination
Review: Mr Love has evidently read and liked Rex Stout's mysteries. It's unfortunate that he let them influence him so much in his writing of "The Chartreuse Clue". Certainly Mr Love could have developed his story around more original charaters rather than use ones so similar to Nero Wolf and Archie Goodwin. Throughout the book it was impossible not to relate to those well established sleuths and not to judge David and the Bishop against them. It's impossible to have characters so closely resembling the famous and infamous and not fall short of expectations. The similarities of characters constantly took away from the story. Sorry but Rex Stout wins out in this case.
