Summary: ONLY FAIR--IN MY OPENION
Review: The story is about Terry Kovak and his life from about fifteen on. Shows him as a young man and what he becomes. He is part of the Dog Team. This is a secret group that is part of the military. Terry is a trained killer, guns, knives, hands, you name it and he can kill with it. This is his life as he goes to many different countries doing his job. It is a sad book to me as he is lost for ever from his family, he becomes to hard for them. He is for ever lonely and by him self. I feel like to much of the book was written about his many, many affairs with women everywhere. Very detail and several pages devoted to that. In fact I guess over half the book was about his lust life. Would have liked it better if more written about the fighting.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A good paced book.
Review: This book is one of the best. I like to think of myself as a well read person. This book starts off with a good start and it just gets better from there. The main character Terry is a troubled youth who finds his life in the way of a goverment killer. They train him and shape him to "their" way. This book starts off in the 1950's and it goes through Terry's life. I thought this book to be one of the best Johnstone has written and I hope that their is a sequal made.

Summary: This is a sad case where sex replaces adventure.
Review: This was to be a story of an extremely dangerous man trained by the military to be a super Green Beret. From the jacket you figured this would be one hell of an adventure in line with Barry Sadler, but alas no. The book is continually interupted by the sexual exploits of a young man that the women just can't keep their hands off of. Very few adventures are ever embarked on , but the book does allude to Terry going on missions and serving in various roles of combat earning every medal of valor, including the Medal of Honor. Never did read how he won it. He was the soul survivor of an attack in Vietnam, but never read how he got there.
This is a sad attempt by a talented writer to write a book of "love" and adventure and he misses the mark on both scores. If this had been the first book I read by this author I would have never bought another book by him and would hve missed out on several fine series. Where his agent was is a mystery but they both need to trash this book before it loses him anymore readers.
