Review: By turns lyric and gritty, witty and unsparing. S. T. Haymon writes with skill and a deep knowledge of the human heart. Her characterization of Ben Jurnet grieving for his fiance is unsentimental but so engaging you feel you must grieve too. What a wonderful writer.
