Summary: A Courageous Book!
Review: THE AIDS CONSPIRACY is a courageous book. It is a true story born in California. Names are changed to protect the participants. In 1996, Alex and Heather Clarke embarked on an odyssey through California Health Care, a flawed system cloaked in secrecy and conspiracy. Their son Nick had AIDS.

This is a factual story and kept me glued to the pages as one chapter flowed into the next, like one wave after another. If you are, or know some one with a terminal disease, the book will touch your heart. The characters are well developed and you will love some and hate others, but the book will open your eyes when you discover peoples' reactions and the standard of care for AIDS patients in California. This is worthwhile reading. Way to go, William Tells!

Summary: A novel that explores the reality of HMO care and AIDS
Review: The novel explores the life of Nick who is diagnosed with HIV and ultimately AIDS. The book communicates the hardships of the family and friends in dealing with the disease. More importantly though it gives an inside glimpse of how the medical community deals with AIDS and the breakdown of communication leads to Nick's demise. It is very informative and the medical community's dirty little secret in the treatment of patients who have HMO's for medical care. The California Department of Corporations should be ashamed of themselves..
