Summary: Boomerang Heist
Review: Charlie Sheldon's "Boomerang Heist" is an exciting tale which combines container shipping, the Port of Seattle and its operations, national and local politics, a container decorated by Seattle schoolchildren, and kidnapping and piracy at sea with the threat of international terrorism. The characters are real as are the desperate situations that arize. The author is able to describe various events in detail because of his experience as a deep-sea fisherman, his previous work for the New York and New Jersey Port Authority, and his present position as a Projector Director for the Seattle Port Authority. This book will keep your interest until the end.

Summary: Boomerang Heist
Review: This is an exciting story of modern day piracy. Its setting alternates between the high seas and the Port of Seattle, the destination of a hijacked container ship. The ship's arrival is set to coincide with the Asia Pacific Economic Conference (APEC) where the American President will be meeting with seventeen other heads of state. The story's well developed characters are placed against a backdrop of globalization, world trade, environmental clean-up, the internet and the threat of political terrorism; making it as fresh as today's headlines. Charlie Sheldon takes the reader inside his world. The payoff is an authentic sense of place, and an insider's view of shipping and port operations which is surprisingly engrossing. I recommend this book.
