Review: Resembling the tired-of-life, cynical Phillip Marlowe and the tough-mindedness of Mike Hammer, Jack Hagee travels about New York in search of a client's former fiancee. Some excellent action mingles with the outstanding descriptions of New York city. The only drawback is the focus on underground sex that fills the last quarter of the book. Other than that, a grade A mystery, best suited to be read on a rainy night.
