Rating: Summary: Intriguing Book! Review: Being a horsewoman and also a fan of spy books, I was so pleased that this author not only used a woman as her main character but also was able to sucessfully weave together the two very different subjects of espionage and the Equestrian world. This book is well written and has all of the intrigue needed to keep the reader's attention. Once I began to read it, I couldn't put it down. Congratulations to the author on a worthwhile book that I will indeed recommend to others.
Rating: Summary: A legitimate female James Bond finally emerges.... Review: It's about time a female James Bond emerged in spydom, and author Karen A. Lynch has produced her in the person of CIA Intelligence Officer Alanna Reynolds. Cool, fearless, savy and determined, Reynolds is an expert in tradecraft, martial arts, languages, and a master at living her cover as an international blookstock agent. Throughout The Game of Lies, Lynch weaves a stunningly suspenseful story set against a cover backdrop of international Thoroughbred racing, where, unlikely as it may seem, terrorist cells exist. I base this review on having read this book, and my personal experiences as a WWII war correspondent, retired employee of the Office of Statigic Service (OSS) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), and as author of Sisterhood of Spies and Undercover Girl.
