Summary: A gripping thriller!
Review: "Sparrow" is a welcome sequel to the memorable and engaging "Fool's Game." This novel does stand on its own, but amplifies and expands upon themes begun in "Fool's Game." Like its predecessor, "Sparrow" succeeds as both an entertaining thriller and as a serious commentary on high-level espionage at the end of the 20th Century. Although the action is plentiful and satisfying, the focus is on the human impact of governmental machinations. All of the characters are well-drawn, but it is especially welcome to see Miles Cavendish again. One hopes we will be treated to a third novel in this series!

Review: What happened after the cold war to the men who participated in it? Mr. Wolf traces what happened to one of them in this thrilling novel which moves from Manila to Europe. Who is trying to kill him and WHY? What did he do to merit the attention of the agencies of intelligence of the super powers. Or are we involed with the super powers? Mr. Wolf's writing skills are excellent. You will never have a dull moment when you read this book.
