Rating: Summary: These reviews will go along political lines. Review: Like one of our leftist reviewers admitted, most negative reviewers probably didn't read the book. Even if they did, they had no intention of being objective. You see, there is nothing "liberal" about a "Liberal". I lived through those years, but I didn't have my eyes closed like some people. How can anyone, except a blithering idiot, deny all the terrorists acts during the Clinton years, and the lack of response, in most cases. Clinton and his cronies hacked the CIA to piece. I remember it as clearly as I remember one of his predecessors, Jimmy Carter, when he hacked away at the CIA. No one can deny that, and anything that the Bushes did, or did not do, does nothing to change the facts of Clinton's dereliction of duty. This is a typical Democratic trick. Screw things up, then blame everything on the Republicans. Unfortunately, as in the case of Richard Nixon and the Vietnam war he inherited, it works too often. Yeah, I know, I agree, he was a crook, and that made it easy, but still duplicitous. Wake up, people, the 90s were the worst years of terrorist attacks in history, and CLINTON DID NOTHING to stop them. History is history. The facts are there. Do some reseach, leftists. You can find the proof in the newspapers of the time. It won't hurt you to spend some time in the library. Tell your kids to stay awake in history class. You didn't. Oh, BTW, the families of those Army Rangers in Somalia didn't act the way some of the survivors of the dead on 9-11 are acting. Talk about NO PLAN, and Clinton, the war protestor, got away with it because he was a LEFTIST.
Rating: Summary: required reading Review: This is an excellent and inspiring book from Hannity. It is one of the most thought-provoking books on political philosphy that I have read in quite some time. Everyone, no matter what your political leanings are, should read this book. For liberals, it will give you an honest look at how conservatives think and why. For conservatives, it reinforces your beliefs and arms you with new ammunition and inspiration in the ongoing war against the liberal plague. Hannity offers point-by-point factual arguments that totally dismiss the most common liberal rhetoric. He also has a very keen understanding of how the liberal mind works. Topics he covers includes abortion, taxes, military, patriotism, school choice, racism and a plethora of other subjects ripped from today's headlines. One of my favorite chapters is the one in which he deals with abortion (entitled "I'm Pro-Choice"). He totally destroys the Left's mantra that Pro-Choice does not equal Pro-Abortion. Even if you don't read the whole thing, at least go into a bookstore and read the last chapter entitled "What Matters Most." The encouraging words that Hannity offers in this last chapter is worth the price of the book itself. --- On a side note, don't pay any attention to any of the one-liner or sarcastic reviews that have been posted about this book. The authors of those reviews have obviously not even read the book and don't intend to. I find it very interesting the choices that Amazon makes when deciding to post reviews. Some of them are so obviously bogus and yet they even make it into the "Spotlight Reviews." (now, I wonder if this review will even be posted)
Rating: Summary: Couldn't put it down!! Review: Sean Hannity is right on, once again. This book will open your eyes and keep them open!! He has the guts to speak the truth of what is happening to our country. I love this book and recommend it to everyone! Thanks Sean!
Rating: Summary: Awesome book Review: Hannity is a brilliant guy and knows what he's talking about. This book should be read by every American. I got this book yesterday and finished it today. I plan on getting "Deliver us from evil" when it comes out in paperback.
Rating: Summary: Great Propaganda Review: There is no arguing a point with this guy. Play the National Anthem, throw in God and family and you've got the perfect recipe for brainwahing millions. It's very sad that so many Americans fall for this simplistic jerk.
Rating: Summary: Extremism is alive and well Review: The main reason that I read this book was to see whether it would further validate my viewpoint of Mr. Hannity as a mouthpiece for the neo-conservative "War is Peace" White House and Pentagon. In the spirit of considering the viewpoints of all sides it would be unfair to maintain my view without giving Mr. Hannity an opportunity to defend himself. Political commentators like Hannity are, in a sense historians and history can span from two seconds ago to two billion years ago. As Voltaire said, "History is the lie generally agreed upon." It can also be stated that "history is written by the winner" or the apparent winner. Mr. Hannity starts this book around the events of 9/11. Prior to the "War on Terror" America was gripped in the "Cold War" which America "Won". Or did we? During the sixties and seventies as we tuned into the evening news we received the daily body count in Vietnam where we were told that we were engaged in a battle to stem the tide of communism. Ask anybody then and today what communism is and the most common answer will probably be something like, "It's anything that seeks to destroy the American way of life." If Hannity truly intends to build America up, how about starting by educating the American public about our past enemy. Since our present state is generally an amalgamation of the past carried over onto the present. A quick lesson on communism is succinctly wrapped up in about two hundred words within the ten Planks of Carl Marx's Communist Manifesto. I recently spoke with a Naval Academy Midshipman who is spending two hours a day learning to identify the weaponry of America's potential enemies. Why didn't the public school system that I attended in the 60's teach me how to identify communism? Now I know why! They would have had to tell me that the Tenth Plank of the Communist Manifesto promotes, "Free public education...." Then there's the Second Plank that promotes, "A heavy progressive income tax." Sounds a lot like the IRS. Hannity does do a commendable job in this book denouncing America's tax code as well as offering for consideration some possible solutions. Credit must be given where credit is due. How about the Fifth Plank that promotes, "Centralization of credit." Sounds like the Federal Reserve Bank, a "privately" owned "non government" bank that creates fractional reserve credit money out of thin air and then charges the American people interest on it. For an enlightening look into this institutions grip on the wallet and life of every American, read "The Creature from Jekyll Island" by G.E. Griffin. The fact is that all ten Planks of Carl Marx's Communist Manifesto are fulfilled within the statutes of the United States. It's a shame that Hannity doesn't "Let Freedom Ring" by warning us about this and have us consider what Marine Corp, Major General Smedley Butler had to say way back in 1933. "War is just a racket. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of people. Only a small inside group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few at the expense of the masses...... The trouble with America is that when the dollar only earns 6 percent over here, then it gets restless and goes overseas to get 100 percent. Then the flag follows the dollar and the soldiers follow the flag. I wouldn't go to war again as I have done to protect some lousy investment of the bankers......" But then suggesting this would put in him in ill favor with the Bush administration chickenhawks who are adeptly pulling his strings. As for 9/11, Mr. Hannity wants to pin the blame on Bill Clinton and Al Gore for a lack of vigilance. He doesn't ask why in early 2001 the Bush administration ordered the FBI to back off of investigating the bin Laden family. It seems that Osama bin Laden's brother Salem financed Bush Jr. in an early oil venture that vaulted the younger Bush into the millionaire's club. Sean, why don't you tell everyone about Bush Sr. and his partnership with the bin Laden family in the Carlyle group, a defense holding company? But there's no possible connection because after all Osama is the "Black Sheep" of the family. Fox News said so, so it must be true! The cost of investigating Bill Clinton's Oval office (...) was twenty five million dollars. When the Space Shuttle blew up, George Bush immediately offered fifty million dollars to investigate the disaster. Post 9/11 both George Bush and Dick Cheney personally phoned Tom Daschle to ask him to back off of any formal investigation into 9/11. Ostensibly so that all resources could be focused on the "War on Terror". When a 9/11 commission was formed it was funded with a meager two point five million dollars. One tenth of the value of some Oval office (...) For an absolute "Fair and Balanced" look into 9/11, the book "The War on Freedom" by Nafeez Ahmed address's the many anomalies of the biggest "intelligence" breakdown in recorded history. While the liberal, "bring home the pork" politicians are busy addicting Americans to government entitlements. The neo-conservatives are no less guilty, the difference is that they're mainlining taxpayer dollars into multi-national corporations with inter-connected directorates. It all has a reminiscent glow from General Butler's words from way back in 1933. Same play different actors. In a world of polarities, Hannity proves himself to be a champion of holding up an extreme. A faithful minion to those who's ongoing intent it is to divide and conquer and control.
Rating: Summary: Sean Hannity speaks the truth Review: Although some of the things that were said have already been said, this is a good read. We need to be reminded. If anything Mr. Hannity is too nice. I have recommended this book to friends on the other side of the isle because of that point. I have also recommended it to people who aren't politically involved because he is a good introduction. Hannity dosn't get to deep into political speak. He really speaks to the common person.
Rating: Summary: Ladies and gentlemen... Review: Since Mr. Hannity is such a intelligent, well - reasoned and civil person that makes some very good points, I tought I'd share a few qoutes from this wonderful man for our mutual inspiration: "You guys on the left, you weren't there in the cold war, you're not here now. If we ever listen to you, we're all going to be bowing at the feet of some dictator someplace else" "[Hollywood leftists] are a bunch of gutless, spineless cowards" "Canada is a left - wing, socialist basket case. What kind of friends are they?"
Rating: Summary: Sean is the voice of the average American Review: Sean without a doubt has exploited the democratic party with his wonderful truthfull view of what the left really is in this country. A radical and anti american flop! He really lays out a wonderful case as to why Osama and Saddam are really the true WMD's and Terrorists.
Rating: Summary: A Must Read For Every American Review: Wow... great insight into current issues and several history lessons that you will never get in our pathetic education system. The lessons of mistakes and successes in our past are spelled out, and after reading this, one can see just how important the policy decisions of our leaders can greatly affect the future course (and survival) of our nation.
