Rating: Summary: This book should be required reading in Universities Review: "The Menace of Multiculturalism" by Alvin Schmidt and Dinesh D'Souza is an excellent and accurate account of what the "tolerant" Liberals are trying to put forward into our schools, both higher and lower. One by one, without malice or prejudice he exposes the lies that are collectively called multiculturalism. How would you feel if you knew a group of gay activists disrupted a church service by throwing condoms during the breaking of bread? It happened. Do you really know what your kids are learning in their schools and universities? Dr Schmidt's book is a wake up call for all parents to take a bigger role in the education of their young children and older children too. Many outrageous classes are being offered at once distinguished universities which have now become Liberal indoctrination centers. Everybody concerned with education in this country needs to read this book. People who hate America are slowly turning our people against each other.

Rating: Summary: An eye opener for the elitist educrat. Review: Alvin Schmidt and Dinesh D'Souza have put together a gem that exposes the change agents of American culture. By showing the truth of multiculturalism, liberals will grind their teeth as they read how this virus is no good for any people, especially the USA. The ultimate in political correctness, multiculturalism as portrayed in this book is something to be shouted down whenever it rears its ugly face. It is nothing more than hatred, packaged in a slick cover of PC says the author.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Political Science & Social Work 101 reading. Review: An excellent book for those who who are willing to examine the "flip side" of muliticulturalism and its' destructive force. Having lived in Burlington, VT for most of my life and I have seen how this "limousine liberal" mentality has infected the uninformed, and misguided "excuse theorists" within my state. I suggest this book be made required reading for all students in Psychological and Sociolgical disciplines.
Rating: Summary: This book is definitely a book for our times (post 9-11) Review: Multiculturalism is talked about all the time nowadays because of the issue of Islamic terrorism. In fact, many people blame Multiculturalists for allowing Muslims into the United States and Europe and elsewhere. That is because instead of fearing the Jihad verses in the Koran (Google it up), the Multiculuralists dismissed the Koran as just being a musty document of a "faith tradition," a book that no one took seriously anymore. The Multiculturalists were dead wrong, and because of Multicularists, other people are dead as a result of not protecting ourselves against terrorism. Dr. Schmidt saw this coming all along since this book was written well before 9-11.
Rating: Summary: The critique of multiculturalism Review: Multiculturalism's main error, as Professor Alvin J. Schmidt demonstrates, is the intent to create artificial societies where two or more totally different cultural groups live side by side, but backed to each other, considering the complete incompability existent between them, which generates an atmosphere of permanent and erosive cold civil war (frequently, increasing to hoter levels, as can be seen in places like Lebanon, Yugoslavia, many african nations and, unfortunately, the now multicultural zones of western countries). He refutes, also, the multiculturalist essential dogma that all human cultures are equal and, consequently, each one of them can only be fairly valued by her own members, but not by persons living outside them. Professor Schmidt shows, this is pure moral relativism, the denial of a superior natural order of values, implying absurd consequences, if taken to the letter and without reserves, as the acceptance as natural and uncriticizable of such realities like cannibalism, head hunting, scalping, human sacrifices, female clitoridectomy or the burning of live widows... Finally, last but not the least, Professor Schmidt proofs that multiculturalism is no more than a disguised form of marxism, using the same propaganda weapons used in his time by communism - every kind of lies, omissions and distortions -, showing the same brutal intolerance, intransigency and agressiveness to his opponents, full of hate against all western achievements, very especially against west's religious and moral values based on the judeo-christian tradition. This is a very good book to know and fight this intelectual plague that affects an important part of our western intellectual life. I deeply recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Fabulous! Review: One of the best books I have ever read! I must read for anyone who cares about where our country is headed! Kudos to Professor Schmidt for writing such an honest and forthcoming book! I have recommended this book to many friends, and they also loved it!

Rating: Summary: Oops! Ouch! Multiculturalism Hurts! Review: Schmidt carefully unloads the words which are tossed around in our society, multicultural, pluralism, diversity. These are held up before America's eyes as words worthy of her adoption and embrace. We are scolded, threatened and lectured at to be humans, for humans embrace such. But, as Schmidt so carefully and thoroughly shows in this read, these words mean so much more than what the casual American would think. It is not at all just about learning about other cultures and respecting them. No, it is about holding deep seated wrath for our heritage of melting pot, and everying Euro-American and of western culture in general. These Marxist leftists have infiltrated and influenced our great country of one people, E pluribus unum for far too long. The people must rise up to take it back. Schmidt provides the beginning to raise our attenanas and be tuned into what is going on in this area .... in government, in churches, in universities, in media. This has certainly sensitized me even more to these issues clearly researched and communicated by Schimidt in this book. I will seek more to read and study and learn about this dangerous threat to our unity and existence as a melting pot country.
