Summary: If you thought Mein Kampf was too toned down...
Review: This book is the most ridiculous, racist, nonsensical diatribe of misinformation I have ever read...which adds up to a rather entertaining book. I have read Mein Kampf, and I have to say that Dr. Wesling's book is more blatantly racist, but it was more fun to read. Wesling takes the reader through feelings of amusement, embarrassment, boredom, interest, and finally relief.The book starts out in entertaining fashion. Dr. Wesling proposes ideas more comical than anything Hollywood writers could imagine. She claims that the Washington monument is a phallic symbol towering over a predominantly black community as a way of the white man flaunting his power over the black man. She goes on to claim that the monument resembles a hooded Klansman. She proposes a hare-brained theory about how the white man was a genetic defect from his black ancestors, who rejected the white man as a mutant albino. She then argues that the Genesis account of Adam and Eve being banished from the Garden of Eden is merely an allegory of the white man's banishment from African paradise. In general the beginning of the book was entertaining, as it resembled the Saturday Night Live skit of Nat X, featuring Chris Rock haranguing about how the "man" is trying to keep him down. The book became embarrassing and offensive when Dr. Wesling attempted to explain Christianity, which she calls the religion of the white man. She claims that Jesus (a Jew) was a black man. (Wesling claims that Jews were black, but their skin became lighter and lighter due to inter-racial breeding. My first reaction is to wonder how this checks out with the Jewish reputation for marrying within their own race. My second reaction is to ask why Kwanzaa exists if Rosh Hashan, Yom Kippur, Purim, Passover, and Chanukah are black holidays.) Christian doctrine teaches that Jesus died so that mankind could live. In Wesling's interpretation, this means that a black man had to die so that white men could live, due to the white man's fear of genetic annihilation caused by the black man. She goes on to call the cross a phallic symbol and claim this as evidence that the white man is obsessed with black genitals. The book eventually got boring and annoying as Wesling attempted to explain symbolism seen in society. It was boring because every symbol ended up relating to the black genitals. Umbrellas, limousines, neckties, guns, baseball bats, cigars, and the tails on tuxedo were all explained to be phallic symbols. This entire system of symbolism is based on Wesling's theory that whites have developed a complex because they can't create color like their black ancestors who abandoned them centuries ago. I wonder if there will be a reparations lawsuit among white people for this abandonment. After the ad nauseum references to the male genitals, the book became more interesting as Wesling unveiled some new (yet equally ridiculous) ideas. She contrasted the African concept of God with the Christian (or in her words, "the white man's religion") concept. According to the African form of polytheism, God is all forms of energy. Black skin absorbs energy in the form of light better than white skin does; therefore, black people are able to experience God in ways that white people cannot. She goes so far as to suggest that the lack of melanin in white people is the cause of evil. By the end of the book, I was relieved to be done with it. Wesling's ideas were so far-fetched, that I found them amusing, but I think I have to rate the book for what it is: an attempt at explaining race relations. The book is devoid of scientific merit, and the assertions that it makes are laughable. Next to Dr. Wesling, Julius Streicher looks like a champion of race relations; therefore, the book gets 1.0 stars.

Summary: Interesting book
Review: Dr. Cress Welsing's controversial theories are interesting to say the least. I can understand where she is coming from, and I can sympathize with her train of thought. Unfortunately, most of her reasoning is based on tenuous, unscientific rationalizations, devoid of any empirical proof. Yes, racism exists, yes, the Anglos have colonized the world. So what? Why are so many other black people worldwide successful in business, science and almost every other field if its such a racist country and world? The Forbes 500 now has 2 black billionaires lest we forget (and thank God they are both degree-wielding and intelligent folk, not the brain-dead ragamuffin atheletes and entertainment artists that half of Black America tends to look up to as role models). Let's stop crying "victim" all day, get our butts off our couches and go to college, study, learn, work hard to catch up, instead of waiting for reparations and hand outs from some nebulous white knight while we cry our throats dry blaming him for our misfortunes, whether real or perceived. Life is not fair, we need to play the hands we are all dealt with to the fullest.

Summary: Forgot one MAJOR point!
Review: Forgot to mention in my previous review that "white" people DO produce Melanin. The only people who are truly "colorless" as defined in this book are actual Albinos, (these are people, not necessarily racially "white," who produce NO Melanin and it is a rare occurrence). Therefore, her entire theory is void.

Summary: see how far the rabbit hole goes
Review: This book as far as I'm concerned is a must read. Most white people don't like black people. This book correlates perfectly with the Michael Moore's book STUDPID WHITE MEN perfectly. White men are intimadated by black men. Why is it that while blacks make up only about 14% of the population they make up about 80% of the top atheletes? Melanin is the difference. The black man is genetically dominant to whites, thats facts. Not theory.
This book is one of those books that changes your perception of reality permanently. This should be a part of a black curriculum in all black schools. Don't disagree with her research. Check other sources and see if it makes sense to you and once it does you can start applying it immediately to your life.

Summary: Very interesting and thought provoking
Review: This was a very interesting book that is supposed to be taken as theory since the earliest history of man involving albinism, the crux of the Cress Theory, can't be proven. The book is supported however in it's stance by archeological findings in Kenya that support the growing scientific view that homo sapiens began as a species in Africa. Thereafter the book moves on to the Cress Theory which establishes all races evolving from the black race. Probable, but it is a theory all the same. Other reviewers that disliked this book shouldn't be taken at face value. They didn't cite any credence against the theory or perhaps they didn't pay attention to the word THEORY. A theory is not supposed to be taken as scientific fact. Dr. Welsing's ideas are probable and supported by cite after cite. Regardless of how far flung the idea may be to some readers she supports her ideas with facts, quotes and circumstantial evidence, showing that she just isn't blowing problack propaganda in the face of the reader. I found the book very thought provoking in itself and would recommend it to anyone tired of being confined to the mislead mainstream that continually deludes humanity by hampering us with outdated knowlegde, ideas and assimilation. The fact is today much knowledge can be found in the New Age section (you have to wade through garbage to find good information, but it's there nonetheless) that the mainstream will not entertain because it takes away the old educational system that works to promote western low educational standardization and assimilation. If you take away the old educational system you also take away the money from people that want to continue to teach an out dated system.

Summary: Depends on your thought process whether you will like it
Review: If your mind accepts everything that you are told by the media and your government as truth then you won't like it. If you are white then you probably really won't like it. If you are aware then it may open your eyes to a lot of things that are going on around you that you didnt see before. Either way, the system of white supremacy exists and people don't want to admit it. She breaks it down. And there are times when she hits the nail right on the head...and you hate to admit it to yourself because it's the system in which we live.

Summary: Misdirected hate posing as scientific thought
Review: Dr. Welsing's obvious pseudoscientific discourse based on her misguided racist perception does more harm to the psyche of those she claims to want to help, than it does good. I would reccommend other authors with more integrity from the African Diaspora such as Henry Louis Gates Jr.. Kwame Anthony Appiah, Cornel West, Derrick Bell, among others. Welsing is on the par with Leonard Jffries in her biased pseudoscientific racism that doesn not benefit anyone except those that wish to cultivate perpetual anger and vicious circles of hate in their hearts instead of exploring avenues to solve the current heinous realityof mutual hatred and distrust that has infected many groups in this country.

Summary: Racism in antiquity
Review: An early biographer of Alexander the Great records the queen of Nubia responding to an inquisitive letter from the youthful conquerer in the following words: "Do not despise us for the color of our skin. In our souls we are brighter than the whitest of your people." (Smithonian, June 1993, page 91) Like that ancient Nubian Queen, Frances Welsing is responding to the racism and white supremacy with an in depth analysis. However, you don't need a degree to understand that racism and white supremacy are the most wicked tandem to ever visit the planet. All you have to do is open your eyes and your mind. You must study the problem yourself. Many people will find it is to much to handle!

Summary: The black man's Mein Kampf
Review: This book is just an example of anit-"white" hatred. Frances Cress Welsing just used her book as an outlet for white bashing and crying about the "bad lot" her people have given to themselves. This is another pathetic attempt to make white people(white men mostly)feel bad about themselves. Welsing is just another incompetent racist/bigot who couldn't find her way out of a paper bag and what makes the whole thing worse is that because Welsing is black most people won't call her a racist or a bigot, they will call her a "hero".

Summary: Awesome Reading !!!
Review: This book written by Dr.Cress Welsing kept me up until 3:00 a.m. in the morning she knows what she is talking about! This is a must read for those whom are in the know. This will peek your Third-Eye for sure as it did mine in absorbing the information. I heared that Dr. Cress Welsing has another book coming out I hope that it is of the same caliber as this one a must have in any collection!
