Summary: Bias
Review: This writer has a biased disregard for many truths. Bush actually made excellent grades in college. He does have an articulation problem but some people are too biased to look beyond that. Clinton almost destroyed the CIA which is one of the many reasons the attack on the USA couldn't be stopped.
Thank God we have a real leader in The White House. Clinton looked the other way when the Cole was attacked. Gore would probably have done the same thing if he had been president on Sept. 11, 2001!

Summary: Accurate, but a small part of the problem.
Review: By now, its pretty clear the "$hrub" ain't the brightest guy in the world. The press tells us every day and Bush firmly backs it up most every time he opens his mouth.

Whoever runs against Bush in 2004 could use this book to script a bunch of mudslinging ads that make up the "substance" of most elections these days. Over and over, this book tells us how stupid Bush is and how he favors the rich and lets people pollute. If you want to read a Bush-bashing book, this will fit the bill.

Like the televised debates and most of the news media fodder on political issues these days, the intelligence of Bush is all but irrelevant (though the apparent lack of it doesn't help any) to the day to day or even long term strength and prosperity of the United States. Just because other candidates are probably intellectually superior to Bush doesn't mean much when they are all owned by the same companies seeking tax breaks, licenses to run sweat shops, "self regulation", and the freedom to dump any and all pollutants in somebody else's backyard.

If you are interested in politics and the state of the US this is a book to consider reading, however, it exclusively airs the $hrub's dirty laundry and presents a very small part of the picture.

Summary: Partisan, but Right On Target
Review: This little book will make you laugh and cry at the travesty of our court-appointed 43rd interim-president. In spite of the author's partisanship, his assessment of Dubya is right on target. It is especially tragic now with Bush's mishandling of the terrorist attacks and the administration's ignoring of the escalating violence in the middle east. Unfortunately, while the bumbling Dubya may be comedic at times, he is threatening the security of America and the world.

Summary: One, only because I cannot give it zero.
Review: I let the leadership and courage of the past six months speak for themselves as the undisputable refutation of the premise behind this pathetic collection of nonsense. It has been a long time since America has selected someone more suited to the Presidency and books like this (and those of Molly Ivins, Micheal Moore, Allen Dershowitz, et al) serve only to show how intellectually bankrupt the political left has become.

Summary: A little book with a lot of humor and facts
Review: At first I was disappointed when the book arrived because it was smaller than I would have liked - until I read it and found this excellent tome crammed with information and presented in a very easy to read manner. It was fun reading, yet also frightening to think that George Bush is the president. It is enough reason, those given, to change my tag line to: "NO REPUBLICANS IN 2004" and the Democrats better shape up also. We need better leaders. Bush is a non-leader and pretty much the result of packaging but when you open the box there is NOTHING inside. Thanks for an excellent book. I recommend it to everyone. If it is small (it really isn't), it is because there is NO depth to George Bush.

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: What can I say? This is a hilarious book that presents the incriminating evidence against W in a very funny way. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I recommend it to anyone. (Well, maybe not everyone...)

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Biased, but fun and useful
Review: This is not objective writing at its finest. But so what? If you are someone who just knows there are a plethora of things wrong with our current President, but just can't get any arguments together when that annoying Republican friend of yours starts to defend Dubya, this book is for you.

Mr. Begala painstakingly attempts to paint Dubya in as bad a light as possible. He occasionally stumbles through some contradictions. For instance, he says the Governor of Texas is a meaningless position when absolving Dubya of credit for education advances, but then feels free to "credit" him with the deteriorating environment in Texas. This however is far outnumbered by the factual indictments that Mr. Begala assualts Dubya's record with, from shirking the Alabama National Guard, to being a sad "bidnessman".

In the final analysis, Mr. Begala gets a lot of facts out on the table, and draws conclusions that most Democrats have felt in the back of their head all along, that Dubya is one lucky President's son who is used every ounce of his lineage and money to get not only where he is today, but through most of a normal American's life challenges.

Summary: Reasons why the appointed leader shouldn't be
Review: I bought this book a few months before the appointment of 2000 and I must say did it ever answer the questions I had about a bumbling, drunk executioner/polluter from Texas. I still think people should buy this book even though he's already been appointed, just to see why he shouldn't be there

Summary: Like most Bush bashing books...
Review: This book, plainly said,....

The president has not even been inoffice for a year, and ... authors, such as Paul Begala havedeemed themselves worthy of eating away at the leader of the freeworld, and the minds of the American people.

If Bush fails us after4 years, then such books will be fine, but give him those fouryears.

So far Bush has surprised the rest of the world with hisdiplomatic measures, and strong showings in Europe. The only peoplethat cannot see those victories of his are the American people, because the press has continued to hound him.

This book insultsAmerica, not the president.[END]

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: The BEST book I've read all year!
Review: Unlike the people on the "other" side of the aisle, Mr Begala gives you the facts. He tells you where he got them from, so that you can see for yourself. This book exposes the fiction and folly of the Republican party. More importantly, it was written BEFORE the election (if you could call it that). This isn't sour grapes. It isn't payback. It is just the straightforward truth.

Mr. Begala tells us about a spoiled little rich kid who grew up to be a frathouse trouble maker, who believed that like Comodus from Gladiator he desereved to be Emporer by birth right.

This book leaves out the sordid tales of drinking and partying into his 40's. It leaves the rumour about marrying a fellow alcoholic who killed her boyfriend in a car crash. It simply tells the story of "Richie Rich" and how he failed at everything, but still made millions and even lost an election, but became president. Furthermore, it tells you where to look for the proof.

After all this is life in the New Roman Emipire isn't it?
