Rating: Summary: Honest Review: Ok I'm going to give you an honest oppinion of this book without including any personal beliefs. This book is interesting. Hannity clearly says what he believes and backs it up with evidence. I think what Hannity's biggest fault is the level at which he attacks liberals. Every page he makes vicious attacks at everything liberals do. Now I respect his beliefs, but I think a better strategy is to be less partison. When you put liberals in the same category as despotism and terrorism you aren't going to get welcomed with open arms from the left. All Hannity is doing is preaching to the choir instead of trying to convince others that his beliefs are right. Making attacks at liberals like that is going to turn them off before they even open the book. I have a few more problems with his book. He talks about all these evil regimes and what horrible things they do. Well if these evil regimes are so awful why did we conduct buisness with them? We did buisness with Iraq while Saddam was committing atrocities. We did buisness with Iran even though Hannity says they were a terrorism breeding ground. I'm not making accusations I'm just saying Sean should explain his platform a little bit better. I liked this book though. It's interesting and informative.
Rating: Summary: Sean's book is good reading Review: I am probably older than most of the people who recommend books, however this book reminded me of our country's history and how we should not let history repeat itself. I enjoyed reading this because It was well thought out and made a lot of sense to me. I think, even if you disagree with Sean reading this book will at least make you wonder about the politicians in Congress and most of all make you think. Which I think most Americans need to do. Do not let anyone make up your mind, get the facts and make a well informed decision. Be unique, make you own mind up, don't let someone do it for you.
Rating: Summary: Read the book. Is that too much to ask of a book reviewer? Review: I'll buck the trend and post a review after actually reading the book. I know it's a novel idea for a book reviewer in this particular forum but bear with me. Sean has hit the nail on the head and shown that absolute evil does truly exist. This was a quick read and references were provided whenever necessary. As Sean points out from chapter 1 the reason that September 11th happened was because Bin Laden is the kind of religious wacko that the left tends to hate when they are from this country and not because of our foreign policy or that there are too many McDonald's in other parts of the world. These terrorist nuts believe that anyone who is not a radical Muslim must die, plain and simple. They chose to target most powerful non-Muslim nation in the world, left-wing appeasers and all. Our President said on September 11th, , "we will make no distinction between the terrorists and the nations that harbor them". The Taliban in Afghanistan harbored terrorists on 9/11/2001 and Saddam Hussein in Iraq harbored terrorists, including the recently deceased Abu Abbas. Why are the appeasers, many of whom supported the president after 9/11 when his approval rating was 90%, surprised that this president kept his word. The people out there trashing this book without reading it just prove Sean's point that appeasers act on emotion and avoid the facts whenever possible. Just look at the polls coming out of Iraq to see if this war was worth it or if we should have continued asking a madman to be reasonable.
Rating: Summary: Don't playa hate Review: Why you fools dissin my bro hannity like dat ? this book be a topseller so stop da playa hatin chumps. Cop dis joint before dissin it at least. Peace Out haters
Rating: Summary: A waste of time and money Review: Save your money - and your time. He has nothing new nor constructive to say - It's just "loaded up" with the same worn-out litany of liberal bashing that he spews on his radio and television programs. This is nothing more than Hannity finding another way to cash in on his current fame along with age-retarding wrinkle creams, etc. I promptly returned my book to Borders.
Rating: Summary: Amazon has unfairly attacked this book Review: The shortsighted review of Sean's book by Amazon is disgusting. As an American who is not part of the extremist "Right Wing" of the GOP the comments and personal Amazon's attacks lodged by Amazon's book reviewer are "Bush League" at best. This book is a bright light for those of us who share a differing review than that of the pablum from the main stream media. In a city where liberal representatives vote to ban a bill that outlaws necrofilia with a deceased child.. Sean's message of grass roots goodness and the basic understanding of good versus evil are more important today than ever. This book takes a swipe at the left wing power-grab that has plagued this country since the mid sixtees. Shame on you Amazon, hurray Hannity..
Rating: Summary: Reviewing Review: One would think this was a political debate forum rather than a book reviewing place. Okay. I'm a 40-something Hispanic woman with no husband. I make 20K a year (gross in more ways than one, I know.) My chosen lifestyle is raw food/vegan (extreme veganism) and I never go to church nor do I idolize money. The enviroment is very important to me. By now you've probably pegged me as a Liberal. Sorry, no. I'm conservative--- have been since I was old enough to vote. And I consider the United States to be the greatest country in the world. Hopefully it will continue to be despite our tolerance of the idiots who dwell amonst us and think that jobs and healthcare are more important than not being run over and/or bombed into oblivian by the evil that would love to see this country gone. You are so right, Mr. Hannity. Evil is out there and hates our guts. If we don't stand our ground and fight back the United States of America will soon become a footnote in history: Had great promise but was too polite and fearful to survive. Rock on, sir!
Rating: Summary: Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it. Review: Regardless of your political affiliation, you cannot ignore the lessons of history. Sean Hannity correctly uses those lessons of history to assess the key issue in America today. America has enjoyed peace throughout its history because other nations knew what would happen if America was attacked. We have now returned to that historical position of protecting ourselves. Sean succesfully points out the weakness of appeasement and appeasers and using well founded documentation, places the Democrat candidates in that category. We need people like Sean Hannity to point out the inconsistencies of our political leaders (both Republican and Democrat)because so much of mainstream media reporting is one sided and slanted. Sean does a good job maintaining a position that is as objective as is possible.
Rating: Summary: Controversial Must Read Review: Almost 1500 reviews on Amazon in less than a month with most of them rating the book either a 1 or a 5!! Whether you agree with Sean or not, this book is well worth the read; find out for yourself what is generating all the excitement.
Rating: Summary: A Follow-up Review Review: OK, I've read the book, cover to cover, twice, and I have the following negative comments: 1. It is really not fair to say the attack in Aden, Yemen on December 29, 1992 happened 'on Clinton's watch' and 2. I find it highly unlikely that an environmentalist like Dennis Kucinich would wear a 'tinfoil hat'. Tinfoil is not easy to recycle, he probably wears an Aluminum Foil hat. Other than this points, I find the book to be well written and its research well documented. Opinions are expressed as such, as are observations, and facts are presented with footnotes for reference. There are no new revalations in this book. No never before published 'facts', just a chronicle of recent events, historical events and (oh, the HORROR) a detailing of the comments made and reactions to those events by people of the same and opposing ideological viewpoints. I think this is the most frustrating part for Liberals, having their statements and actions re-printed and placed in their context as historical folly. Want to read an intelligent book about where we are and where we should, or shouldn't, be going? Read this book. Want new and earthshattering 'facts' that only the author could make up? Read Al Franken or Michael Moore. I give this book a well deserved 5 stars.
