Rating: Summary: Learning From History Review: What Sean Hannity writes must be read and critiqued without the cloud of a party loyalty, otherwise you're reading this with a biased opinion. I have read this book, and the 'controversy' behind comparing liberalism to terrorism can be compared to how critics call The Passion of the Christ anti-semitic. Most critics have not read this book, nor have they seen The Passion of the Christ. This book is about recognizing absolute good and absolute evil. It's about the history of the modern Free World and the two ways it deals with evil in the rest of the world: confrontation or appeasement. Looking back from the 1930s through today, Sean shows the consequences of appeasing evil and the victory of confronting evil. It truly demonstrates the proverb "Those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it." Appeasing evil has proved throughout modern history to encourage evil. Modern day 'liberalism' has latched onto the idea of understanding, negotiating with, containing, and appeasing evil. When Sean says, "Deliver Us From Evil - Defeating Terrorism, Despotism, and Liberalism" he means we have to defeat the idea of appeasement and embrace the idea of confrontation in order to defeat terrorism and despotism. Read this book regardless of political leaning. It might put things in historical perspective.
Rating: Summary: Sean is an Honest man Review: How could you have "read it" when it has not been relesed yet.Now I have not read it for the same reason. But I do know that Sean is honest and you are not. If you dont likt he book then please say so but dont lie about reading it. Thanks John
Rating: Summary: Couldn't be better! Review: Another great read, Sean! Keep em coming!!
Rating: Summary: Arrogant , selfrighteous screed... Review: Truck loads of right wing arrogance cloaked in shallow patriotism, and morale superiority here. If your a snide, condensending pig, you'll love this book!
Rating: Summary: Dissent Is Not Disloyalty Review: Mr. Hannity spends a great deal of effort in this book attempting to demonstrate that the Democratic Party and its allies in the United States are active allies of terrorists. Among other charges, he excoriates Democrats for attempting to use the tragic events of September 11, 2001 for political advantage. My retort to Mr. Hannity is very simple: What do you think YOU are doing YOURSELF!? By writing a book which equates Jimmy Carter with Neville Chamberlain and John Kerry with Osama Bin Laden you make ridiculous the cause you purport to serve and alienate any thoughtful readers and listeners. Mr. Hannity and his fans would like the world to be black and white. They do not acknowledge abstractions, preferring to stoop to the lowest common denominator. Fortunately, most Americans are sophisticated enough to recognize oversimplifications and hysterical generalizations. Mr. Hannity's role model in his ignominious campaign against freedom of thought and debate is Senator Joseph McCarthy. Therefore, it is fitting to end my review with these words from Joseph Welch's famous denunciation of McCarthyism: "You have done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency?"
Rating: Summary: Tough on Terror...Tough on Liberals Review: Informative and brave in its structure. Sean Hannity not only steps right up to the liberals who spin the leftist media web but he also has the smarts and stats to back it up. Deliver Us From Evil should be read by all who enjoy the truth.
Rating: Summary: Give Logic a Chance Review: Sean Hannity puts his thoughts in a very concise manner and outlines the logic in his beliefs. Quite refreshing from the liberal side that makes wild accusations and name calling to try and scare the uninformed minority. I recommended this book to all young voters so they can learn to take a logic view of the world and learn from the liberal trick of lying and name calling to try and cloud issues.
Rating: Summary: A "must read" for both sides Review: I am almost finished reading reading Sean's book and I find it facinating! For the true conservative, this book is "preaching to the choir"...yet, sometimes, the choir - especially - NEEDS preaching to. They are often forgotten in the rush to get the message out to the congregation! For the liberal, this book will be an anathema! It shines the light on the truth - with their own words -, and this is what just chaps them to no end. The public is just supposed to accept what a lib says TODAY and forget the problems of what they said YESTERDAY! Will you hear this form of debate thru the regular media? Of course not!! They, themselves, are liberal and promoting an agenda! The last thing they want the public to do is to THINK...this faulty human condition leads to truth! The left wants YOU to just accept their pablum and not ask any questions. If you like this book, tell your friends. If you don't like this book, PROVE IT WRONG! I give the book 5 stars only because 5 is the highest number! I feel this book is a must read for anyone interested in not only politics, but the future of America! Whether you agree with the precept of the book or disagree, read it. Form your opinion and then give reasonable and thoughtful insight. If you agree with the book, give reasons for others to read it and accept the ideas. Conversely, if you disagree, also give insight (excluding "hate Bush", of course) as to why it is wrong!
Rating: Summary: Also important -- Defeating Democrats Review: The Democrat strategy is to promote hate and class warfare, and to repeat ad nauseum an unfounded belief in their own intellectual superiority. Facts confuse liberals, logic escapes them, hate envelops them, and a continuous stream of lies and bitterness pervades their speech. Sean's book resorts to that most hated conservative approach to dealing with Liberals - the use of documented facts and penetrating logic. Let's hope Americans will defeat the Democrat agenda before that agenda defeats America.
Rating: Summary: Honest candor and telling it like it is Review: Right from the beginning Mr. Hannity explains how 'we the people' are being manipulated, lied to and used to further the goals of obtaining and holding power by the liberal left. The truth hurts and this book is a "no holds barred" expose of methods and means to accomplish those goals. I am a liberal in the fashion of Zell Miller, and would recommend this book as an eye opening read.
