Summary: buy this book!
Review: There is a new line of ultra-fine grain soft leather miniskirts available from Attric Fashions. Let's put Ann in them!

Summary: Truth at last, Truth at last!
Review: I never heard of Ann Coulter until I picked up Treason three months ago in an airport. I read this book with an open mind and since have conducted independant research on Ms. Coulters claims. Guess what...She's right!

The truth can hurt. Fortunately Ann's great sense of humor, wit and superior intelligence helps to keep us from crying over the what we all know is true in our hearts.

I read the mean spirited remarks left on other reviews. Ironically Ann mentions these traits.

Verify her statements and you will know the Truth! I've never given multiple copies of books as gifts until "Treason". It's well worth your time and easily the best book of the year.

Summary: let's just ignore her
Review: It is the worst thing for this woman and the best thing for this country to just ignore what she says.

There is no "liberal" or "conservative." Once you classify yourself or others in certain category, then you are restrained by those classifications. You are no longer able to think in fair and balanced manner. Partisanship is dangerous, if it goes too far.

Summary: Why I believe Ann Coulter's version of history
Review: They say you can't understand the present until you have studied the past. I've come to believe the converse is equally true. You can't understand the much of our history until you have enough experience with the present to thresh out the truth from the river of deceit that has been passed off as the history of the Cold War era.

As a good little liberal Democrat in the 50's and 60's, I bought the whole story the great ogre Joe McCarthy persecuting the innocent. But as liberal foreign and domestic policies delivered one disappointment after another I began to ask questions. Worse, I began to look with a critical eye at the books and TV presentations covering the period from the 1930's to the present. I watched brazen lies told about events I had direct knowledge of, like Vietnam, poverty programs, education, investment and banking. It soon became clear, looking back at my education that much of my reading and study had amounted to no more than wading through a swamp of nonsense. The new mandarin class that wants to rule us has created a whole industry devoted to flooding public discourse with trash.

As the years went by, seeing through lies became easier, but getting to the truth proved to be a daunting task. In the case of Sen. McCarthy in particular, I was really daunted. That is why I am so very grateful to Ann Coulter for her wonderful new book, TREASON.

I promised to tell you why I believe her. Here it is. Hers is the first version of the McCarthy affair I've ever read that made even elementary sense. She deals in the facts that liberal histories studiously avoid. The cast of characters is, for the first time, recognizable as the political breed I have observed through the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Finally, I have searched the Internet for negative reviews looking in vain for anyone making even a serious effort to refute her claims of fact. No one! Coulter makes a host of factual claims. In a sea of attacks by people who brag about "PolySci degrees" and their study of the complete works of Michael Moore, Al Franken and Noam Chomsky, I have found many fatuously promising a refutation, but no one providing one. Not even in the smallest matter (I should repeat that I am talking about the McCarthy affair) does she seem to have gone astray.

And her factual claims alone, without the benefit of her incisive commentary, are devastating. I found the entire book one of the most rewarding I have ever read. Skip the pile of propaganda your liberal professors are pushing and read TREASON first. Then start watching the daily antics of the media and the democrats with your own eyes open.

Summary: Documented Facts speak for themselves.
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed this book, as it provided a refreshingly accurate, informative, lucid, well-documented, and thought-provoking look at liberalism in the United States.

Ann Coulter's book, in it's telling revelations about the destructivness of American liberalism, is comparable to Solzhenistyn's masterpiece: The Gulag Archipelago.

I highly recommend it.

Summary: more misinformation
Review: Coulter alleges that decoded Soviet cables support old allegations that I.F.Stone worked for the KGB. Harvey Klehr, an expert on the evidence she claims to have found in a book he co-wrote, says it isn't there. Indications from the so-called Venona spy cables made public in the 1990s suggest that Stone was nobody's agent but his own.

Summary: Completely Depends on your Political Views
Review: Whether or not you enjoy this book is purely based on your political beliefs. I'm sure if you look through the almost 2,000 reviews on this book, the star ratings are a measure of how far left or right the reviewer is.

Summary: Take it with a grain of salt....
Review: Remember when President Bush said he was going to unite the right and left in America? Clearly, it hasn't happened, and from the right, people like Ann Coulter are the reason why. Before the hate-filled right-wingers come out and scream "liberal! liberal!", I'd inform you I'm a moderate, so unlike those of you who consider yourselves right or left, I'm able to actually read books by Ann Coulter and Al Franken with equal objectivity, something I'm sure few of the people who positively reviewed this book can say.

As the title indicates, Coulter hates liberals. She's not very candid about letting you know that either. Which throws a clog into her objectivity, but you expect that when you read a left or right-wing book. But what the title also indicates is how much she lates liberals, and how far-fetched she gets with this book. While I sometimes feel very strongly against liberal policies, I never consider them treason. In America, there are two competing sets of ideologies. In each case, the people who support each one are confident they are doing whats best for America. Thats hardly treason, Miss Coulter...

The bottom line is Ann Coulter comes across in this book as a bitter individual. Being an educated individual, I was able to see countless incidents of fact distortion. Have you ever read something in a book that just took you back to the point that you couldn't believe it was true? That happened a lot to me - instead of just taking the "hey, its in print so it MUST be true" attitude I'm sure most of the die-hards who read this book took, I actually checked out some of her claims when I had a hard time believing them. For the most part, they were more examples of Coulter's fact distortion.

The bottom line is that this book is perfect for any die-hard right-winger who wants more reason to hate liberals and doesn't care about actual facts. As I said before, people like Ann Coulter exist on both sides of the spectrum, liberal and conservative, and are the reason this country is so deeply divided between left and right. I've read some good conservative books by good conservative authors, but this book and its author do not fall into either categories.

Summary: Finally Some TRUTH
Review: Ann Coulter does a VERY good job disspelling all those liberal lies and it is very refreshing to read something that is not filled with garbage opposed to anything that comes out of any liberal wacko. As a history buff I am only too happy to hear someone tell how the story really went. Anyone who reads this book and enjoys it is getting a real treat, everybody else is just jealous of our intelligence and our ability to handle the truth. That means you, you right wing nuts!!

Summary: THIS BOOK WAS GREAT!!!
Review: This is the best book of her 3 books and that is saying something. Everything Ann has written is priceless. Being born in the 70's I was not aware of alot that went on during the McCarthy era, and being educated in liberal public schools I wouldn't have been given an accurate portrayal anyway. More than any other political author, Ann provides facts to back up her opinions. All of her figures are supported by references so that whinny little liberals can't dispute the facts. This book proves that during any point of conflict in our countrys history, the democratic party has always been a party looking to pacify those who are against our best interest. Also, it is unbelievable how the average person today has no idea about the number of soviet spies working for the U.S. government during this time. Great facts on President Reagan which also can not be disputed. You have to love Ann for her ability to always make liberals look stupid during any type of debate and to always look so good doing it.
