Rating: Summary: Facts are Troublesome Things Review: Ann Coulter's Treason has the audacity to assualt revisionist "progressive" mythos with historic fact. Her style is polemical rather than scholarly, but the footnotes speak to her extensive research. The forgotten spies and apologists for Stalin are spectres the Democrat Party would love to forget. The Party was heavily infiltrated at the highest levels. They have denied and obfuscated and spun the McCarthy myth in that quest for decades. Now it's plain why all the closet Commies(a.k.a. "liberals")are scuttling about, shrieking...a light has been turned on by Coulter. This Socratic review of the American Left and their nemesis McCarthy, is a provocative and refreshing view of history.
Rating: Summary: Terrific Review: Critics of this book moan and whine about everything except the facts that she presents in her usual flawless, entertaining prose. This is a well-documented (pages of footnotes) look at some issues and some real history the Left would prefer we all forget or reinterpret. A classic.
Rating: Summary: An island of facts in a sea of lies Review: Ann cites facts regarding "commom knowledge" references to McCarthy's activities. She identifies the perpetrators of misinformation. She's done the work for us to begin to know and defend the truth. It's best to have a dictionary handy when you're reading Treason, but if you want up front unvarnished facts and conclusions, it's well worth the effort.
Rating: Summary: believably interesting expose' Review: This woman says more truth in this book than most folks hear in a lifetime. She has the ability to show unvarnished liberlism for what it is... socialism in disguise! Can't wait for the next one!!!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: eye opening Review: the work is a badly needed revision of the hackneyed and largely false historical view of the mccarthy era which liberal journalists and historians have foisted upon us for the past half century.
Rating: Summary: Thanks Anne Review: There may be a bit of hyperbole in this book but overall an excellent read. I can now understand why Anne drives liberals crazy. She has the guts to tell the truth in a witty and entertaining manner.
Rating: Summary: Excellent! Review: A poignant assessment from Ann as usual. She cuts to the chase without mincing her words. Truly a must read!
Rating: Summary: Best political book I've read in years! Well worth the cost Review: Great read! I'll never hear that tired old "McCarthyism" accusation again - without laughing in the accuser's face and telling them about this book!
Rating: Summary: Best of the Current Best Sellers Review: Best of the Current Best Sellers
Rating: Summary: Treason is an eye-opener of DEMS espionage in US Review: Ann Coulter has published a terrific work, documenting the complicitness of Democrats with Soviet espionage in America during the 1940's and 1950's. I bought it and I recommend it to everyone - it's an eye-opener which contradicts the liberal rendition of history that we've been handed down about Truman, Joe McCarthy, FDR, and Alger Hiss.
