Rating: Summary: THE INFO IS LACKING, BUT FUN AND INTERESTING ANYWAY! Review: I read this book back in my college days, I was a 3rd year biology student at the time, with a detailed knowledge of chemistry laboratory procedures. This said-Most of the drug related info is pure bull. We had tried most of the instructions perfectly with little or no result. Any of the highly technical instructions could not be carried out by a common person, let alone a college biology or chemistry student (myself and other friends had little success) at least without the aid of a fully stocked chemistry lab. This is were most of the information falls short. There always seems to be one or two chemicals in the instructions that just can not be bought by a common person, this therefore makes the entire preparation useless. (Just try to buy Petroleum Ether at your local hardware store as it says) I think that if you had a lab to produce these preparations it could be done! It even includes the US patent to make LSD, but even with a fully stocked lab, an assistant, a degree in biology, and a whole lot of luck, I would probably have a 25% or less chance of making the stuff correctly.
Rating: Summary: Book for Future Referances Review: As I read this book, I thought to myself, "If people actually do this stuff it is a crime" Well, this book is supposed to be for educational purposes only and not to try to kill someone with your bare hands. Take a few minutes in the book store one day and look through this book. I guarantee there is something that you will want to learn about for any case in the future
Rating: Summary: This book is outdated.... Review: Putting any of the information given out in this book to use would be suicide, as all of the techniques listed inside are outdated to say the very least...not to knock it's great historical value though, as it will always be a staple for any true anarchist! If anything this book is a novelty item.
Rating: Summary: Not the best... Review: Not exactly the best explosives book, theres lots better. But then again its quite old.If you really want to learn how to make bombs download the anarchist cookbook 97 or some of the jolly rogers files.Military improvised munition books are usefuel too.so if your looking for material on how to make bombs, skip this one.And dont confuse with real anarchism.By the way im 13 :)
Rating: Summary: Anarchy Review: As i read this book i have learned alot, and interesting facts. I recomend it for all people of this sort.
Rating: Summary: great book but not that specific Review: i think this book is great, then again i am 14 and not to be taken seriously. the only problem with this book is that it isnt that specific in basics. Also i think this book should be updated so that all the mail order things are recent and are still running. If this book were updated the prices would be more accurate (guns and rifles). Although I dont approve of the drug chapter because this has nothing to do with fighting or guerilla warfare. I think this book deserves a ten, because it has a lot of info on explosives, guns, and guerilla warefare. But then again, I'm only 14.
Rating: Summary: The book is a Period Piece Review: The "cookbook" as it was known when it was first published, is in the same genre as A.Hoffman's "Steal this Book" -- what the other reviews fail to realize is that most of the material is harmless (any 1st year mining engineer's text tells much more) and the period is the message: Nixon, the King and Robert Kennedy assassinations, the escalation of bombing in Viet Nam, Cambodia and Laos - the Pentagon papers coupled with G. Gordon Liddy's insane forays into a psychiatrist's office and the abortive Watergate break-in by 3`rd rate Cuban CIA operatives led to the Weather underground and the feeling that the next US revolution would have to happen if Nixon were to attempt a third term. The book is a reaction to much social unrest and the rejection of popular mandate by the legislative, executive and judicial branches. Never the less, this is not a book for children or parties given to violence. It is a social commentary with fireworks.
Rating: Summary: This Is Not Revolutionary Literature Review: Do you want to change the world? The way to do it is not provided in this book. Terrorism is a quick-fix towards a long-term goal. I beg you, instead, to read real revolutionary literature. Try Marx, Guevera, Tse-Tung, Lennon. Try Noam Chomsky, John Dewey, Thomas Jefferson. Class struggle still exists. The middle-class doesn't realize it, but they are part of the working class now. Become informed before you become violent. Gain the theory of revolution, then turn to the Anarchist Cookbook if it helps you to make the world a better place for all. Remember, beware of the hand when it comes from the right.
Rating: Summary: A review of the anarchist cookbook Review: The book, "The Anarchist Cookbook" is never fully understood by real critics. They are all government butt-kissing liberals. The true nature of this book is to give people their rights by telling them how to do what the government does in the field of combat. It also tells how to break the simple idiotic "foolproof" ways of "security". I believe that the book is a work of art and should not ever be made illegal. P.S.
Rating: Summary: EXCELLENT CHOICE OF READERS Review: I thought that the Anarchists Cookbook was very well thought out. It gives out information that is very useful and insightful. I wouldn't give this book to your friend who is obsessed with destroying things, people, etc. But If you want some very good insight on some things, I highly suggest that you read this book. The main reason that I liked the book was that It wasn't at all Anarchist. It viewed things from the average everyday working class system. Someone just got enough balls to write what their opinions were down and publish it. For that I congratulate them. If this society was more open I wouldn't be one bit suprised to see many more books like this published. Everybody has their own thoughts on every subject.
