Summary: Every child should read this book!
Review: It is unfortunate that children today do not enjoy reading as much as their predecessors did. Video games and 800 TV channels have deflected their interest from more educational pursuits. 'A Wrinkle In Time' however is one book that should be given to every child- boy or girl. It is well written and facsinating. I've yet to meet a kid who has not enjoyed the exploits of Meg and Charles and parents can rest assured that this is good reading!

Summary: Life according to L'Engle
Review: Meg Murry and her brothers, Charles Wallace and the twins, live with their mother. Their Father has been missing for years, supposedly working on a top secret government project. Meg and Charles Wallace meet Calvin who also feels like almost as much of a misfit as Meg and Charles feel like outcasts. There and also three women who have moved into an abandoned house in the neighborhood, Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Which & Mrs. Who, inform the children that Mr. Murry, Meg's father is in grave danger and needs their help. They travel through time and space via wrinkles, or tesseracts, to a planet named Camazotz. They understand that this is where Mr. Murry has gone to battle the forces of darkness that are turning sections of the universe into nothing more than shadow. Of course, the Murray children can't just waltz in and snatch up their father. First they must battle the evil being known as IT. IT is a very frightning thing that is described as a disembodied brain who offers people complete security if they will give up their freedom and their individuality, and become just as the others on Camazotz have.

This book contains some of the most beautiful descriptions of human life, and expresses the ability of even younger folk to change the world, and to do it one step at a time. It also shows how storng the family unit is, or must be. This book conveys a worthwhile lesson about the human condition and is great fun to read. It will be a classis in children's literature.

Summary: A Wrinkle in Time
Review: A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle is about a girl named Meg Murry who was sent on an advanture through time with her brother. Meg's brother and her friend, Calvin, try to rescue her father from some evil force. He was sent back in time. The main characters are Meg Murry, Charles Wallace Murry, and Calvin O'Keefe. Mr. Murry was my favorite character because he worked for the government.

The character I can relate to would have to be Meg Murry because she is impatient and she is easily agitated with herself and her family. I havn't experienced any of these problems or feelings of any other characters in the book.

I didn't really like this book because I don't like science fiction or fantasy books. My favorite part was Meg found her father. My least favite part was when they found out that the father was gone. If I could change anything in the book it would be to have found the father earlier.

I would recommend this book to someone who likes science fiction and fantasy. This book would be good for elementary students.

Review: Would you like to go to a different dimension? Then, read the book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L`Engle. It is about a boy and a girl who want to find their father who has been missing for a long time. They are on a planet called Camazotzs to rescue their father. Yes, I encourage friends to read this book. If not, read Wind in the Door or Many Waters also by Madeline L`Engle.

Summary: A Wrinkle In Time-Alex
Review: Imagine feeling a large jerk and then suddenly appearing on a different planet. That happens to Meg, Charles, and Calvin as they go on their quest to fight the evil IT in Madeline L'Engle's A Wrinkle in Time. As Meg, Charles, and Calvin travel to many different planets a main theme emerges: good vs. evil. If you like science fiction and fantasy this book is for you but if it doesn't sound appealing to you, you might try other books by Madeline L'Engle like A Wind in the Door, Many Waters, and A Swiftly Tilting Planet.

Summary: A Wrinkle In Time
Review: The story starts when Meg Murry, her little brother Charles Wallace, and Calvin O'keef meets Mrs Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which. Mrs. Whatsit, Mrs. Who, and Mrs. Which tells that this "Black Thing" was taking over the world. Also, they told that Meg and Charles Wallac's father was in captive of IT. They are placed at a mysterious place where everyting was done perfectly in rhthym. Now, Meg, Charles, and Calvin is going on an adventure to save Mr. Murry, without knowing what they will face and how Charles Wallac is going to be captured by IT.
One thing I liked about this book was that it sounded so scientifice. When they talk about tesseract, traveling in the fifth demension. I first didn't understand what they meant by fifth demension. When Mrs. Whatsit explained: "-the fifth demension's a tesseract. You add that to the other four dimensions and you can travel through space without having to go the long way around(72)." I think I kind of understood.
I also liked the way Mrs. Who quoted everything, such as: ""And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not(82)."" It all matches with the story and sounds cool. When I read the quotes, I also try to figure out some of the meanings, like a puzzle. The quotes are enjoyable to read.
My favorite part of the book is when Meg finds her father. Charles Wallac was already captured by IT and Meg was the only one who could actually help. When she puts the spectacles on her father, and escape, it was kind of a happy moment, except that IT was trying to take controle of them to. As Mr. Murry tesser, leaving Charles behind, I was so curious to read the next part, that even though it was over 12:00 AM, I continued reading.

Summary: All time favorite for science fiction fan!
Review: I still vividly remember the first time I read A Wrinkle in Time in the 5th grade. It was a turning point for me. Up until that time I hated to read and avoided it at all costs, my parents who were avid readers were horrified. Not only have I continued to adore this book, but I read it every few years. Its battle between good and evil along with the many mysterious beings is similar to the vast imagination JK Rowling puts into the Harry Potter series. I buy A Wrinkle in Time for every child I know and can hardly wait to introduce it to each one as they reach the right age.

I am also a science fiction fan overall and I have always believed that this book is what lead me down the science fiction path. They say that science fiction readers have the best imagination of all readers!

If you haven't read A Wrinkle in Time do it now, whatever your age!

Summary: Children Love this Classic Science Fiction
Review: Over the years, as a classroom teacher, I have listened to many oral book reports on this wonderful Newbery Award winner. Children love this book. It is a wonderful first experience into the area of "science fiction." It is easy to understand and holds the interest of the children.
