Rating: Summary: Informative resource for novice. Review: Although not an in depth review of the restoration process, this book does a good job of getting the novice restorer started in the right direction. For those not getting their hands dirty, the book is helpful in informing the car owner of what will lie ahead in having a professional do the work. The section on buying a mustang is interesting and informative.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding overview for restoration Review: I am currently restoring a 66 FB, and found your book very helpful by providing an outstanding summary of items to be considered during restoration. Great value for the price. It covers many of the components and how to work them. However, additional information needs to be found from other sources for more specific detail. Examples are specifications, bolt torques, etc.In summary, it's great, but not a standalone book.
Rating: Summary: Good, but not complete Review: I looked through this book at the bookstore and compared it to a stack of other Mustang restoration guides. It looked great initially, but I noticed that this one did not have my cars color combo ('66 medium silver w/red pony interior), so I did not buy it b/c I lost any confidence in the completeness of the information.
Rating: Summary: If you wanna do it right... Review: This book is a great place to start if you want to restore an old Mustang. My fiance and I are avid Mustang lovers and we have been seriously considering sinking a "large" chunk of money into an old Mustang, so we bought this book. He has enjoyed reading it and learning about Mustangs...and has actually learned quite a bit of information that will help us in picking out and verifying our "new" old Mustang. I can't wait to get started on our project...and we'll take this book with us every step of the way. This is a must-have for anyone who is even thinking about purchasing an older 'Stang. Really...you want to do it right now don't you?
