Rating: Summary: Good Medicine, Great Sex Review: "Good Medicine, Great Sex" is an excellent book and a must read for anyone interested in learning the truth about marijuana and its positive effects. David Ford has a way of dispelling the myths that have been perpetrated regarding cannabis (marijuana). David deserves the title of the "Forrest Gump" of the marijuana world. His accomplishments and life experiences are truly amazing and all done while under the influence of smoking marijuana. The book will make you laugh and make you cry but above all, it will raise your awareness at a time when truth is essential not only for our own personal well being but to preserve our basic constitutional right of life, liberty and happiness. The truth shall set us free!!!!!
Rating: Summary: An Autobiographical, Provacative and Stimulating Romp Review: Author Ford is amazing! Reading "Good Medicine, Great Sex" proves we don't have to smoke pot to get high -- just reading about it can get the adrenalin flowing. Ford takes us on a whirlwind spin through a good portion of his electrifying and titillating life experiences, stopping just long enough at times to give us the facts about marijuana and sex. If only Big Brother Government would get off its dishonest soap box and give us the truth, we could all be more creative, more passionate and more prosperous. Why should Ford have it all? Why not us, too?

Rating: Summary: I wish I could live his life !! Review: David Ford's book reads like a James Bond tale of intrigue. From humble lifeguard beginnings, through Hollywood illuminatti, sexcapades and fast-track adventures, David shows compassion and concern for the Average Joe's right to smoke and be free. A long time advocate of legal and safe use of marijuana, this book is not a polemic but a story of one man's journey. A great read and a great romp.
Rating: Summary: Unashamedly proclaims the virtues of marijuana Review: Good Medicine, Great Sex! is the personal and iconoclastic memoir of David R. Ford in which he unashamedly proclaims the virtues of marijuana for creativity, medicine, pleasure, and sexual enhancement. Sharply denying the government's strict anti-cannabis stance, and framing the his own illustrious, successful, and high-profile life with great acknowledgment for marijuana's beneficial herbal powers, David Ford is intriguingly unrepentant in its advocacy in behalf of marijuana usage. This along with wonderful anecdotes of his personal encounters with Gary Cooper, Don HO, Bing Crosby, Henry J. Kaiser, Groucho Marx, Wayne Newton, Richard Nixon, John F. Kennedy, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Cab Calloway, Liberace, and Jonathan Winters, make Good Medicine, Great Sex! good autobiography and great reading!
Rating: Summary: You won't be able to put this down! Review: I picked up "Good Medicine, Great Sex!" before leaving on a flight from San Francisco, California to Rome, Italy. I decided to read the first few pages before going to sleep. I didn't stop until I had finished it. The trip across the Atlantic seemed to pass in minutes. I loved this book. Dave Ford definitely knows how to grab people's attention. The title alone will probably attract many readers, but word-of-mouth and positive buzz will really launch "Good Medicine, Great Sex!" I think it will go on to even greater popularity than his previous work, "Marijuana: Not Guilty As Charged" (which I thoroughly enjoyed). Mr. Ford has always been way ahead of his time. Young people throughout the world share his opinions on the medical benefits of cannabis and its harmlessness for social use. I certainly will never think about it the same way! The U.S. government has conditioned us to think of marijuana as a narcotic as deadly and dangerous as heroine and cocaine. It should look to Europe for guidance. In The Netherlands, government-grown marijuana may be purchased in pharmacies for maladies ranging from glaucoma to cancer to AIDS-related illnesses. Britain, Belgium and Luxembourg are in the process of passing similar laws. I hope the U.S. will one day follow suit. Mr. Ford's books have finally allowed me to think about cannabis objectively. Anyone who still believes the myth that marijuana is a narcotic with no medical value must read "Good Medicine, Great Sex!"!
Rating: Summary: With a Song in His Heart Review: I raced through your fine new book with strong feelings, memories of my beautiful stays in Hawaii, and Northern California, I feel empathy for Dennis Hunter and the tragic situation he and others face for their courage. The lies and misery caused by and the greed of those in power must cease. 'Good Medicine, Great Sex' is extremely timely, immensely important, enthralling and an inspirational autobiography. Dave, Godspeed to you! Greg Blunt
Rating: Summary: Good Medicine Review: I throughly enjoyed David Ford's new book Good Medicine Great Sex. The author has found the perfect balance of information on the history of marjuana prohibition and attention grabing experience of his over fifty years of using marjuana to enhance his productive life. I was glued to every page wondering whether I would be giggling inside from the unbelievable and creative stunts David would pull to achieve his goal or have tears pouring from my eyes from the dramatic losses he has had to endure. I recomend this book not just because it will captivate you as the reader but also because you get a unique perspecive on how and why Marjuana is illegal from someone who has lived through all of it's changes for the last fifty years.
