Summary: DON'T GET MARRIED OR PLAN ANYTHING ELSE WITHOUT THIS
Review: Michelle LeFort

I...wish I had this when I was getting married... this is a great item for first-time planners or
an individual person to use for planning a wedding. ... you have a great product. (June 30, 2002)

Summary: The Essential Even Planning Kit
Review: My wife and I have found this book (with its fill in forms) close to 'essential' as claimed in the title. However organized one is -- and I'm not the best; my wife is much better -- this book takes care of that lack. What's best is that I don't have to struggle to remember all the bases to touch (much more than 4!). 'The Event Planning Kit' remembers for us, and we just check off the 'must dos' as they get done! It's a terrific helper and saves us from omitting key steps. We both think it would make life simpler, several times a year, for others as it has been doing for us.

Summary: THE NASHVILLE NEWS LIKES THIS
Review: The Nashville News writes that everybody should have a copy of The Essential Event Planning Kit. Its review goes on to ask "Have you ever tried to plan a banquet, a large meeting, or a wedding? This book will help you plan the whole program step by step." March 31, 2004

Summary: A book of worksheets...
Review: This book does NOT teach you how to organize an event. It is less than 55 pages (big print and mostly forms). This event planner does not agree with the author's advice to write your goal statement at the very end of the planning process. I believe the purpose statement and objectives shape how your meeting or event is organized.

While this booklet does have a number of forms/worksheets you can photocopy and use, they are not very detail oriented and their small size makes them impractical for use in your actual event notebook (you'll most likely want to recreate them on your computer). There may be better resources available but because this booklet is offered for (...), you should get at least that amount of value from it.

Summary: This book sucks!
Review: You know I bought this book because I mistakingly saw the Amazon reviews..but what I read was the published reviews (which must get a kiok back or something). Anyone, and I mean, ANYONE could write this book, because there is NO WRITING. It's a book of forms, lame ones at that. Like a To Do List? Date - What to do - Who do you need help to Get it Done - Done checkmark.

Wow! That was deeeeeep insight.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Go out to lunch instead and spend the $6-$8. I would rate this book a zero star if I could.
