Review: Xue Xinran's book is one that needs to be read by all people wishing to gain insight into the struggles women have faced, not just people who are interested in China. Be careful though, it's hard to put this one down in the middle of a chapter! The stories are fascinating and heartbreaking, and have inspired me to be a better person.
