Summary: Dangerously Intriguing
Review: We all love a conspiracy theory, especially the kind that holds serious repercussions-as anything connected to 9/11 and Israel does. I don't know if Raimondo's theories are correct or not, I only know that the book was an interesting read and he presented some intriguing propositions. I hope history will prove him wrong because the alternative is too frightening to consider.

This book does not blame Israel for 9/11, but it does propose that Israel's intelligence was more proactive in identifying the threat to America than our own intelligence was. The million dollar question here is of course, If Israel knew 9/11 was imminent, did they attempt to notify the U.S.? Using information available to any citizen, Raimondo assembles a preponderance of evidence to support his hypothesis. I would recommend this book to anybody who considers him/herself informed. I wish Raimondo would have sent a copy of this book to the 9/11 Commission.

Summary: A Moderate Response to a Politically Charged Book
Review: While most readers of Raimondo's book will probably have a strong response in one direction or the other, I did not find myself particularly offended ("that liar etc.") or outraged ("Israel is out of control") by Raimondo's book. However, this may be because I am both familiar with Raimondo's Antiwar column and with the nature of US - Israel relations. While Raimondo clearly establishes: (1) that the Israeli secret service was very active in the US just prior to the 9/11 attacks, and (2) that there was considerable efforts on the part of the US government to cover up this fact, Raimondo's deeper inferences in this book are less convincing. This is in part because Raimondo's book is largely a summary of the media coverage that the above mentioned Israeli activity received world-wide. Consequently, Raimondo's new book reads more like a collage of news stories pieced together, that are supplemented by his editorial view points, than a coherent thesis that is based on original information and well synthesized scholarly research.

Nevertheless, the overall picture that Raimondo paints is disturbing and unfortunately somewhat believable. When Raimondo's thesis is considered in the context of what is undisputably known about US - Israeli relations (i.e., the US overlooking probable Israeli IAEA infractions and the general pro-Israeli attitude of the Bush administration with respect to the Israel - Palestine conflict), his charges certainly deserve more than a condescending dismissal that states that they are ridiculous.

Summary: Why in-duh-eed!
Review: Why didn't they tell "US" what they knew? Because "WE" were in on it too. 911 was an inside job!

(This is painfully clear, for instance, because "Our" government has not shown one shred of credible physical evidence that there were any Arab hijackers on those planes. No DNA, no flight recorders, no airport videotapes, not even the passenger manifests. Just a few cell phone calls, speech which can be easily synthesized and would not be acceptable in any court of law. If they had real evidence they would have shown it.)

Mossad was a subcontractor to "our" stateside covert crime commandos on 911 (much as Israel is a small but key player in the overall Anglo-American plan to plunder the Middle East.) The Israelis probably had two or three main roles: handlers for the flight-school patsies who were set up to create a phony hijacker trail; moles within the group of patsies; and the "movers" who placed the explosive charges in WTC1, 2, 6 and 7 to demolish those buildings.

Although it's true Justin Raimondo bases his work mainly on newspaper articles, those records pointing to a 9/11 Mossad Connection would probably have been lost to the rest of us without his commentaries at antiwar.com and in this book.
