Rating: 4 stars
Summary: cutting edge worldview including a literary study
Review: Friedman has seen the post-modern future. This book ostensibly addresses feminists, but it spends so little time actually addressing this point of view that it self-demonstrates the more inclusive, globalistic, humanistic that it posits. I particularly appreciated the combining of literary review with this new global social theory of identity formation. My only criticism would be that the highly specialized jargon Friedman uses can at first seem obstructive. Overall, invaluable.
