Review: I have checked this book out from the library numerous times and am now waiting to recieve my own copy!! This book contains the best hands-on phonics games I have ever seen. Each activity is throughly explained, vividly pictured, and uses skills much needed in the early primary classroom. The activities are fun, colorful, effective, and requires materials you have on hand or can easily and cheaply purchase. All activities are made by you and full patterns are included within the book. I have used the activities in several different ways: at home with my own children as review, part of a lesson as an introduction in the classroom, at the end of a unit of study as review and reward, and as centers all over the room to promote retention of skills already taught. The games are so fun and creative that the children do not know the depths of knowledge they are requiring by playing! SHHHH it's our little secret!! A great find!
