Summary: Mindless nonsense
Review: This book is not about who controls the world, or its "new rulers." This is a typical liberal guilt-inducing account of a couple of situations around the world. Pilger spends a great deal of time discussing the suffering of Iraqi children due to the sanctions imposed on that State. Another chapter is spent talking about the plight of Aboriginal Australians. This book is aimed to preach to the converted, and if you want to see how bad America and other Western States are pick this up. Its written in a journalistic format, and reads very fast. I did not get much out of this book and sold it right away..

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: DON'T BELIEVE THE DOUBTERS
Review: You'll find there are a few bad reviews for this book on this site but don't be fooled for a second. This book is a tour de force; a goldmine of information for those who are concerned about the actual way the world's western governments operate. Many don't like it when the hidden agendas of our own govenments are exposed in so brutal and confronting a fashion; and the bigger point is 'what does that say, in turn, about us?

If the truth matters, read and learn from a man who uses information as a weapon against the oppressors of the helpless.

Peace......
