Summary: Right -wing polemic
Review: The criticisms in this book of Chomsky are laughable at best. This is another attempt by the right-wing pundits to discredit someone who has the temerity to engage in analysis of how the elite in the U.S. manage to control domestic and foreign policy for their own benefit. A good example is the "hay" they attempt to make of Chomsky's support for the free speech rights of a French historian. Chomsky explains the only true interpretation of free speech; that support for it is only meaningful for speech with which you disagree. Apparently this concept is too much for right-wingers to wrap their feeble minds around, so they resort to attacks. If it were possible to give a negative star rating, that is what this piece of right-wing claptrap would deserve. It consists of lies of the type that can be viewed everyday on Foxnews masquerading as serious news and analysis.

Summary: Utter Rubish
Review: This book comprises of utter rubbish.
It does not take into account the vast amount of literature (otherwise inaccessible) which Chomsky's writings refer to.
You would have to be utterly blind to have written such a book.
I actually take offence in the expression "Chomsky's hatred of Israel".
Had the authors examined Chomsky's writings on these matters from years back, they would have realized his love of Israel.

Summary: Hatchet Job on Chomsky
Review: Well, as a Chomsky reader in the past, I also strive to find balance between 2 versions of thought and opinions. I enjoy reading Chomsky, however, also, have agreed with Horowitz on many subjects. I don't always agree with Mr. Chomsky, however, more times than not I tend to.

The problem with this book is that, the Amerian Right Wing, sponsored this book. In, fact the publisher of this book, Encounter Books, is affiliated with the Project for a New American Century, which the Bush Adminstration foreign policy is based on. To me then, this is an attempt to destroy Mr. Chomsky's credibility.

Based though upon this book and any of Chomsky's books, I must say, Noam Chomsky is much more convincing. If Horowitz and his partners at least agree to a FEW of Chomsky's hypothesis and research, then I would not give this book such a bad review. It seems they can't agree with him on one fact. That is just pure bias.

Read this book, then read Noam Chomsky, Understand Power, and as some of our media says, "You Decide".
