Rating: Summary: Introduction to reincarnation Review: This book should particularly appeal to those people just starting to consider the possibility of reincarnation as an active process, which includes them. It is clearly written in a straightforward style and offers the "standard model" albeit from a duelist perspective (nothing wrong with that). It differs from most in that the examples offered of individual cases are obtained from the use of a form of "psychic perspective" whereby the author intuitively develops an assessment of various clients. The subject of induced fetus mortality is covered along with an emphasis that the soul is eternal and does not die and that there are, in any event, potentially valuable lessons that may be obtained through a short stay on earth, for both parent and child alike. There are to my mind, certain problems with this approach and the entanglement/dis-entanglement of associated Karmic knots cannot be easily understood without the proviso that all involved are striving for betterment in some active sense. This part of the book is somewhat difficult to fathom. However, as an introductory text the overall effort is very good and should promote inquiry and help searchers find their way to more comprehensive material.
Rating: Summary: Summary of the Soul Review: This is a short, easy to read book about the author's understanding of the soul. The topics include the soul's work in directing our life in order to learn our lessons, traveling out of body to solve our problems and communicate with other souls, the charactertistics of people whose souls are in different stages of advancement, what heaven is like, and communication with souls who have passed on. Each topic is covered briefly, but it seems to be a nice summary of many other books that deal with these topics in greater depth. It seems a good book for people just beginning to delve into a search for spiritual understanding. Although I agree with the concepts of the book, and I do believe that there are psychics capable of seeing and hearing from the other side, I wasn't convinced that this author's psychic experiences were always authentic. As she does psychic readings with clients, their passed-on loved ones "speak" with generic responses. When clients ask for identifying proof that the communicating spirit is who the author says it is, the spirit suddenly seems to have amnesia. Although the author's ability may be authentic, her writing does not support credibility in it. I get the feeling that what she instructs the readers in has all been gathered from her own research of other authors in this field of spirituality/metaphysics. It is nevertheless, instructive for spiritual seekers, and corroborates the conclusions of other psychics and teachers in this field.
