Summary: Relentlessly Truthful
Review: This accurate, thoroughly researched account of the mis-handling of justice in a small town in Arkansas is a must read for anyone who has ever felt like an outsider in their neighborhood. It's not only accurate and well written, it's also as good a nail-biter crime drama as you're likely to find. Mara Leveritt's even hand perfectly lays out these hard to believe events and draws you in to a community full of secrets and cover-ups. I loved this book as much as I hate the fact that these boys (who are now men) are still in prison. Damien Echols has become a good friend of mine and I know he will be vindicated. Please read this book!

Summary: For those not possessing an idle-mind, this is a must read!
Review: This is a matter-of-fact book (though we do feel the author's opinion) which does not lack any detail. With all the information poured out, this is definitely not a read for the idle-mind. It is a shocker from beginning to end. Since I have read this book, there is not a day that I do not think of the West Memphis victims (both dead and incarcerated). Since reading the book, I have also viewed both HBO documentaries and I visit wm3.org daily. I very much look forward to seeing the telepic scheduled to air in October 2004 (the day on which the Arkansas Supreme Court will be scheduling the execution of Damien Echols).

I only hope this book touches and terrifies people, as much as it did me, because the public's voice is a very powerful thing.

Summary: Unreal
Review: This story is the polar opposite of the OJ simpson case and in my opinion, far more disturbing. Two young boys sentenced to life in prison and one to death with NO EVIDENCE???? If this were fiction I would write it off as too far fetched to enjoy. The fact that it is not fiction is unreal.
