Rating: Summary: rich & rewarding Review: A glorious hodgepodge of women - all successful, all varied, all experienced on different paths. Through their stories, women not yet 40 will see the promise waiting there. These women are confident and reflective, grateful and self-assured. They deal with mortality, with having children or not having children, with beginning lives with a new partner or solidifying their commitment to their mate. Fascinating and uplifting book - like shining a telescope into the lives and hearts of several amazing women.
Rating: Summary: Finally, a time for me, for recognizing the richness of me. Review: I think each age brings it's own lessons. The interviews of these women, of varying backgrounds and circumstances were delightful positive looks at what lies ahead. Forty(+) is a great age to be a woman. There is a real richness, indeed a fullness, reflected not only in our our bodies, our faces, but in our relationships. If you think you're going crazy, wondering why you are questioning things that were okay yesterday, if you are finding things vaguely unsatisfying but don't know why, read this book. You'll understand, you'll laugh, and you'll welcome this age. Coming in to your fullness is a pleasure.
