Review: I own a Spanish language institute in San José, Costa Rica. We recommend our students purchase this ONE-OF-A-KIND booklet and cassette. By no means is it a complete course in the Spanish language but it contains everything the beginning and intermediate students need to know: correct pronunciation, handy everyday expressions and phrases and an extensive list of Costa Rican expressions. The author has a Master's Degree in Spanish from the University of California and writes a weekly newspaper column for "Central America Weekly" about short cuts to learning Spanish.
